Wow.. We're all on the rhcp Stadium Arcadium wavelength today! Not hard for me because it's my favorite album by RHCP, but I try not to listen too much and spoil it. I actually haven't listened in a while and was randomly reminded today of the song Turn It Again. Tied for me for best song off this album with Wet Sand, both epic, ever-changing masterpieces. I tried to fund a live version of Turn It Again and had a hard time. I found this footage. The JFRU solo holy shitbalz. Just start watching at :28. You'll thank me later. Not sure what's up with this song, couldn't find much history of it live besides this. Please enlighten me. It's one of my favorites. https://youtu.be/tQND3DM-ShY

I agree with all of this. SA is their best album and Wet Sand is the best track among many great tracks.

Thanks for posting the interview. Cool interview and lighter ^^. So I clicked on your link and Turn It Again has never been played live? Whyyyy not?!!! And who knows wth that footage I found was from? I was trying to find anything live but apparently it's nonexistent.
And you are so right he is a wizard or maybe a mad scientist?? I always pictured the lyrics from Charlie were talking about him.. "Move around like a scientist, lay down, get kissed". He's a brilliant soul and artist either way.
I think the delay to get all the outro parts onto a loop would take a half hour, at least. And then there’s the challenge of getting each loop’s timing down on top of playing a live part. I think it’s just too damn difficult to execute live. There’s a lot more going on here than “Venice Queen.”
Also, I don’t know if Anthony can pull off the vocals. He employs a strange timbre/affect on this one, which usually takes a bite out of pitch.
My preference is the music up to Mother's Milk. After that I just don't really care for it. I did see them twice on the Mother's Milk tour, with the show at One Step Beyond in Santa Clara California being mind blowing.
I saw them on the Californication tour with Foo Fighters and saw them in the By The Way tour with Queens of the Stone Age. I'm not a big AK fan but he was energetic and entertaining and the band was on fire. Looking forward to hearing what they can do with John back in the fold.

Not strictly Chilis related anymore but I listened to Josh Klinghoffer's first album yesterday. Released under Pluralone. Really nice album. Comparable to some of Frusciante's solo work. He's a great musician.

That song has several guitar parts on the outro jam. John is some kind of wizard. https://youtu.be/rYOiUgaQrzI

@dankind I have this exact same fear.
@mookieblalock Couldn't agree with you more
This may be the closest we got ever: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OK2cBvmAx8M
But I agree its a great song. Kind of similar for me to So Much I, which was luckily played live: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OKqK2iXwCbc and it kicked ass!

Not having to listen to Kiedis's vocals is a plus.
