Was an awesome show last night! I sat in the Center Orchestra about 20 rows back. (Not 10 Club seats) but pretty good for ticketmaster seats.
Ed's voice was as sharp as it has ever been. For anyone who is questioning if his voice is going to hold up there is no need to worry. Ed was very happy and in a really good mood. Loved the crowd and it seemed like everyone in the crowd behaved. He told a cool story to us while sitting in his foot chair. I guess we were special because he said this would be the only show that he would do this at.
In my opinion some of the highlights were "Around the Bend", "Girl from the North Country", "Forever Young", "Porch", "I am Mine" and of course "Arc".
It was nice to meet some really cool people from the message board as well, JeanWah, Foxy Mop, Evil Closet Monkey, One for Each Day, Calum, Pearl Jam Patriot, Oxxys, Given to Dragonfly + her husband, Love Boat Admiral...oh and PJ Bugs...sorry if I forgot anyone!
Also, there is no wrist band for posters. You wait in line and have to hold onto it during the show.
Now I can't wait for both shows in Atlanta!8/29/00, 7/3/03, 5/24/06,6/28/08 & 6/30/08, 10/9/09,10/28/09, 10/30/09 & 10/31/09, 5/15/10, 5/17/10, 5/18/10, 5/20/10 & 5/21/10, 10/23/10 & 10/24/10, 9/3/11, 9/4/11, 9/11/11, 9/12/11, 9/23/11, 9/22/12, 9/30/12, 7/16/13, 7/19/130 -

As far as standing/sitting, when he first came out Eddie said something along the lines of "you all paid for these nice, red velvet seats, you should use them." So people sat down most of the night, except during the encore break.
Also, Liam and Eliza joined him for Hard Sun and it was awesome. Liam played the drums and Eliza sang backup vocals. Very cool.
I loved the backdrops and the whole night was spectacular.
Arc was beautiful. I loved all his stories...I wonder what he did today on this rainy Albany day.Hartford, CT - Oct 2, 1996

Brain of JFK wrote:All the nonsense about Ed's voice can be laid to rest. He sounded great and 17 years after I first heard him there is still no singer I would rather hear live (and he didn't look heavy either).
I fully agree with you that there is no singer I would rather hear live.
Having said that, I do think he was struggling with some of the melodies ("he was guiding me, love his own way"), he was cutting some of the notes short and was short of breath at times. I was really saddened when he pulled out the cigarettes and beer on stage. It's his life, and of course he can do with it whatever he wants. I don't think his voice will ever be bad: if anything, it would sound more and more like Tom Waits. And yet, I wish he treasured the powerful voice he has a little more.
I sincerely hope things will straighten up after a few dates, and that he is well.
Perhaps I am becoming more of a mom and less of a groupie... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0 -

There were people ahead of me who had gotten tickets from ticketmaster, but I still had pretty good seats to the right of the mixer in the orchestra.... and the will to show I will always be better than before.0 -

Totally amazing night!!! I loved the intimate feel to it. The way Ed joked around and told stories was so cool. He played so many songs. I was blown away. The loop thing he did with ARC was incredible, harmonizing his voice like that, and then coming off the stage and shaking hands, etc. I thought that would be the finale, but then he came back with Hard Sun, and delivered. I'm so thankful to have been there. It was so much more than I ever could've hoped for. Thanks 10 C!!!!!0

i'm soooo HAPPY for you!
couldn't happen for a better person, nor more well-deserved.
(also hope me and mr. dream can be so lucky in baltimore!)
sounds like it was a fantastic show - can't wait for baltimore night 2!Stay with me...
Let's just breathe...
I am myself like you somehow0 -
I'm shocked no one has mentioned his Devo shirt that he wore last night. After all the Got Some / Gut Feeling crap that's being going around there's no way that was coincidence.0

I wondered about that too. :P
So glad everyone had a great time!
Sorry for asking a silly question here...but what was the general dress code in the audience - did anyone look at someone funny for dressing up if any? And temperature in the building?
Again, so glad to see so many happy fans here and thanks for taking the time to share GREAT reviews with us!JA: Why do I get the Ticketmaster question?
EV: It's your band.

Very casual dress code. Jeans, cargo shorts, T-shirts. I thought the temperature was very comfortable. I had on jeans and a t-shirt and never felt too warm or too cold.PJ: 8/27/00 4/29/03 9/15/05 5/12/06 6/28/08 6/30/08 8/21/09 5/15/10 5/21/10 9/11/11 9/12/11 9/14/11 10/25/13 10/27/13 10/29/13 10/30/13 8/5/16 8/7/16 9/2/18 9/4/18

Thank YOU! I nearly died as I was walked down to my seats....I thought 9th Row center at Hartford last year was amazing, and figured that was as good as I will ever get with fanclub seats, and then we kept getting closer to the stage, so awesome....I love love love the 10C!
I will think positive thoughts that the PJ gods are just as good to you!!! Have a fabulous vacation down in Baltimore, I have really great memories from spending lots of time there, because my parents lived in Maryland when my dad passed away.~*LIVE~LOVE~LAUGH*~
