Lukin
I really like this song, despite the fact that it completely baffles me. I've been thinking about one possible interpretation for one line in particular: "...take a right after the arches stinkin' grease and bone..." and I think it might be a reference to McDonald's... what do you guys think?

Pilate
O.k. Listening to this the other day and it's growing on me a lot. I like it a lot more than I used to, but what the fuck, in the name of all that is holy, is it about. I just can't decipher any meaning from it. Knowing me though it's probably ridiculously simple.

undone appreciation
i admit when i first heard lost dogs i was like. i can tell why all these songs were b-sides and not on albums, outside of down, leaving here, fatal, and last kiss. and i didn't like a lot of them. but just like riot act. i listented to them still anyways. just last night and the first disc realyl really really grew on me…

sad ~ other side
think about the connection between these two songs. sad is writing a letter the a loved one youve lost, and other side is reflecting on it. or mabey other side came first, im not sure. im fascinated by this right now :)

Song Writing Help
I love the way EV writes lyrics. I'm not that great at writing with metaphors or writing anything at all that expresses my feelings. Does anyone have any advice on writing lyrics? I have many experiences that I would like to put down in words. I'm sure we could all make some great songs from our lives but how? Does anyone…

Benaroya Hall - Black live
I just got done listening to it - again - and man, I love it! I'm new to listening to PJ bootlegs, so I don't know if they've done this before, but having the audience sing the last line of Black was awesome! I could really feel the energy of the room...even though it was late in the concert. I still wish I had been there.

A song made you cry?
It was song called Indifference by Pearl Jam (live), because it reminded me at how sometimes we can do nothing to make difference in our lives. especially theese: I will hold the candle until it burns on my arm... I will stear at sundown untill my eyes go blind... I wont change direction, I wont change my mind... I like…

Your favorite way of missinging lyrics...
Do you sing Pearl Jam lyrics wrong and KNOW they're wrong, but you still do it? I'm always singing "Jeremy spoke in... Spokane..." cause it fits and the ever-present "Howie makes his getaway," which I infected many an old pit soul with years ago on the old board. How about you guys?

the north is to south what the clock is to time
Actually it's not. the north is to south what black is to white/ or high tide to low tide <--- opposites clock is to time what sails are to wind but ed's one doesn't work ;) sorry

re:
definitly a really great tune,....i like down a lot, but i think it's a little overrated compaired to sad, undone, and fatal as far as b-sides go,...funny, the older PJ get, the better their b-sides get

Jeff was right
In 'Single Video Theory', Jeff says that music's one of the more healing artforms, and I never really thought about it until then. But goddammit, he's right. If you ever have the worst day of your life, there's probably a song that'll put everything in perspective, you just have to find it. Kudos, Jeff!

Can't Keep video dream !
Last night I feel asleep after listening to Can't Keep on Benaroya, and I had one of the weirdest Pearl Jam dreams ever...it was a video for the song. I just thought I'd share It starts out with an overhead shot of two people laying in a bed with white sheets, one obviously sleeping, the other on her side. As the first…

In my life, your band has been a voice of reason. It is business as usual. WE don't do favors or break the law. Come to seattle when your in love Fan club was worried. Love is greater than money. There is fear in your soul. Thanks for the long road (I guess). From UZALIVE

man of the hour
this is the most gorgeous song i have ever heard. It makes me feel very morbid, but i know that this is a song i will be able to turn to in future times when faced with bereavement.
