sad ~ other side

Pearl Jam and toast

think about the connection between these two songs. sad is writing a letter the a loved one youve lost, and other side is reflecting on it. or mabey other side came first, im not sure. im fascinated by this right now

Interestingly enough, I got my Benaroya CD earlier this week, and I was listening to it, and for the 24 hrs that followed it, I contemplated writing a letter to a loved one, and thought to leave it at the cemetary....

.... it would say :

I wanna shake. I wanna wind out.

Sad was written first by Ed during the Binaural sessions and Othersise was written by Jeff during th Riot Act sessions.

If you have the Lost Dogs CD it's interesting to see the notes about these two songs, I can't really remember what it says, but Ed describes Sad as, "the otherside to Jeff's song Otherside". or something like that.
