hey guys,

after some long hard last minute digging, i found a little camping gem. some of you may have already found this, but if not, i promised the owner of this resort to spread the word. the name of the resort/campgrounds is Mcintyre's Resort. the owner is ONLY allowing people that are going to PJ20 to stay there that weekend. she said it's been this way for years, whether it's phish, buffett, or dave at alpine, she reserves her entire property for that weekend for those going to the show. she said it's first time hosting the pj crowd since she took over the business for her mom in 2004. it's on a lake(turtle lake), she has boat rentals, firepits(which she said she'll have going upon our return from the concert), and space for rv's and tents. only 10 miles west of alpine. check it out and tell her eric sent ya. her name is Pat McIntyre and she's the sweetest lady ever. You can reach her at 262-728-9313. see you guys there for the after party!!! 29 DAYS....!

-much love, eric

  • I just spoke to Pat and this sounds like an awesome spot for PJ fans. There is also a shuttle directly across the street! It's $60 per person for the entire weekend and she doesn't advertise so it will be an awesome time!

Eric, Pat said to Thank you for the PR.

Nice! I might need to change my camping arrangements. What does the $60 give you, just a site or is the shuttle included?

The $60 covers camping for three nights. It's $20 per person, per night, but right on a lake and Pat really does sound like the nicest woman ever. She is as excited as we are:)

There aren't sites. It's just an open area right on the lake. They do have cabins and shit, that are booked with PJ fans. The shuttle is on the other side of the lake and run through snug harbor.
I love that they'll have a bonfire goin when we get back. Party on!

Looks like a cool place. If I were going and somehow managed to get my camping gear across the country, I would camp there.
  • So the shuttle requires driving to and from the shuttle company(across the lake). If anyone is interested in trying to secure transportation from Mcintyre's pm me and I'll see what I can find given the amount of people interested.
  • great find! thanks for the post. any idea if you can just camp for 2 nights? i know a lot of campgrounds have a 3 night minimum. hopefully i can talk my girlfriend into a weekend of camping.
  • I would assume so...but call Pat and ask her. She said they had a lot of availability and it's not regular camp sites...more of a communal field to pitch tents with a large bonfire and a lake to swim in. Pretty perfect imo. :)

yeah, it's going to be awesome. Firewood provided on site, no Johnny Law to watch out for, and nothing but Jammers. The best part is at this park when everyone is jazzed up after the shows are over, we'll all be in the same state of mind, not having to worry about the Clevers already sleeping further down the path.
