Philly 2005 was a definite top 3 for me. It was an AMAZING night. WASH opener. It was a magical evening with reallllly good 10 club seats. I remember we went to Toronto that year (my first acoustic Porch and Bono came out) which IMO was hard to top...then Philly blew my brain right out of my head. I met my best friend 2 years later and she and her husband were also at that show for their 10th anniversary. They just celebrated their 20th!!! I'm up for Philly to be sure! And Hartford would be grand too!
Thank you fellow 10 clubber for saving my ass....again!!!
Night 3, 2009 is my favorite Philly show. Everything about that show was lined up. Phenomenal set list, lots of rarities and crowd pleasers that aren't played every night, like In Hiding, which the crowd was insanely loud for, weekend show without the competing World Series game next door, so people were entirely into the show and not checking the phones for score updates. Even my wife was amazed for multiple hours at how loud and into the show the entire crowd was. True story, about 6 songs into the set she said something like I don't know any of these songs and I replied, I know. This setlist is awesome!
When my life is over, if there were a way to go back and relive a select number of days/nights of my life, obviously there are days unrelated to PJ I would choose, but if there were a few PJ concerts I could relive, I would choose 3 from the long list I have been fortunate enough to attend in 20+ years. Randall's Island, NY night 2 1996 MSG night 2 2010 Philly 3, 2009
Philly 2005 makes my top 10 list too, and I was maybe 25 rows back on the floor behind two people at least 6'4". I couldn't see much at all, and watched what I could see from the space underneath their arms when they raised them and that show was still incredible.
All Philly/ Camden shows are great, really, just some are more memorable than others. Hopefully there will be two more in 2016 we can add to the list!
I fancy the Spectrum 2003 show the most coupled with the last 2 nights at the Spectrum in 2009
spectrum '03 is the band's top philly performance with the closing of spectrum week trailing close behind.
05 was okay
agree 2003 was the best show of any band i've ever seen. crowd was insane and band was on fire. i actually think the 2 shows in 2013 were better than 2005 too. 2005 to me wasn't all the special but that might be because i saw Borgota 1 show a few nights earlier which I thought was great. In fact of all the Philly proper shows (not camden) 2005 is probably last on the list for me.
not ranking shows, just pointing out how "epic" 2005 was... that was a great tour finale, I'm not sure what show you guys were at... I thought it was awesome and a perfect ending to the 2005 North American tour

I agree that Philly 2005 is tops in my book, and I was at the 2003 shows, 2005, 2006 shows, and all four 2009. Everyone has a different experience though, but I didn't walk away from the 2003 Spectrum show blown away.
We are a little spoiled lately with insane setlists. Back then Philly's 2005 was an insane setlist, almost like a fan club only type of set.

Was at the Flyers game last night....heard April 28th, 2015 is a lock, and they hope to add 27th as well
Who said that? Reliable source?
13 years to the day of 4/28/03. that would be terrific.
I'm gonna complain - I'm sick of weeknight shows....
I hate them too.
On the bright side: a home town week day show means that there will be less demand from out-of-towners for that show, which means a greater likelihood that you will secure tickets

Funny enough, I actually prefer Toronto shows to be during the week for this very reason. For some reason (likely $$$) the band doesn't play a lot of Saturday shows anymore, but recent tours have proven that demand is extremely high for Saturday shows, especially those that are within a decent driving distance of multiple major markets. Buffalo 2013 is a great example of this.

exactly. a Saturday night show in Philly (and probably Friday night too which one of the rumored dates is) would be a cluster fuck to get tickets. and if there is a Saturday night show in Toronto i might make an attempt for those as well. Could use another Toronto trip an PJ there would be the perfect excuse.
My boss mostly works remotely from his home in Philly and comes into the office 1-2 times a week. Asked today: 'if a certain band (he knows my PJ obsession already and I started last week lol) might have a hold on a venue in a certain Philadelphia, PA, might I be able to work with you there for the day and not get docked a vacation day?' and he said YES! Wahoooo! Philly will be a GO for me if this is happening

You better hope the shows aren't on the weekend or you'll be working extra

Don't get me wrong - in theory this makes a ton of sense. But I'm at the point where I don't care if I'm in the 1st row or the 1000th row, just as long as I'm in the building. The hangover, 6AM wakeup, meetings, interacting with people I would rather not see during said hangover, is worth a weekend show.

Nice! I've seen 5 shows in Philly and I've always had a great time. Already warned my fiance that we are headed back in April haha.
