Yes on Lex. Not sure where to drink but I'd suggest bourbon as the drink wherever you end up.

Would have driven down from Chicago for sure if the original Saturday day that was floated out had held true. I love Lexington and saw Garth at the Rupp in late 2014. Not sure about a Tuesday though...that makes it hard to work with vacation days, etc.

I'm gunning for New york. Still deciding if I should do Lexington as a backup or not. Hmmm....

Lexington will be my 4th and final gig of the tour. Very excited! So the Rupp Arena holds roughly 23K people? That's a fucking huge arena.

In from Louisville area - 60 minute drive beats all the last few tours although Cincy wasn't much farther in 2014. Very excited. Also considering hitting Bonnaroo.

Driving down from Columbus. Booked a hotel les than a mile away yesterday. If I get a pair through the lottery I might have an extra. If no luck in the lottery I'll go through ticketmaster. This will be my only show this tour.

  • I live here and planning to attend. Have not been to concert at Rupp but have seen a couple basketball games which have been a blast. Pizza place called Pies and Pints right across the street. New restaurant called HopCat which has a tremendous beer selection. You'll also be able to find bourbon without a problem. There is a nice Hilton downtown right near the arena which also has a restaurant called Bigg Blue Martini. Haven't had food but drinks before ball game since its so close to arena. Also, there is a restaurant called Saul Good within walking distance of both Hilton and arena which has good food and beverage options. The Hyatt is connected to Rupp so obviously a nice choice due to minimal travel. Interested in some good craft beer, there is one about 5 minutes from arena called Blue Stallion Brewing Co.

It holds 24K just for basketball. You can add a few thousand more with seats on the floor.

But...the seating chart from the Rupp Arena website seems to indicate they are only using about 70% of the seating capacity.

It's a local show for me. I work in Lexington and live just outside. Happy to answer any questions. If you can stay at the Hyatt Downtown, it's attached to the arena. Also, the Hilton is essentially across the street.

The downtown area has come a long way in the last few years. There are a number of bars and pubs right near the arena as well as a 4 or 5 breweries within a couple minutes drive.

    One thing I just realized.

Keeneland is in session during the time this concert is taking place.

I know everyone will think it's just horse racing, but trust me on this, you DO NOT WANT TO MISS a trip to Keeneland during the spring meet. It is an experience like no other.

Race days are Wednesday through Sunday, so either go down early and attend Keeneland on Sunday or go there the day after the show.

The scenery is incredible (both natural scenery and people scenery) and you can even tailgate outside in the parking areas.

On Trip Advisor, it has 5 stars and is rated the #1 thing to do in Lexington. It's only open for racing just a few weeks out of the year.

Exactly the same, driving from Columbus, will have an extra if I score in the lottery.
