You know when you see the Gillette ads during any football game, you think of TB12 and the GOAT. You know it. KC and Oakland? Jokes.
I do not think of Tom Brady when I see a Gillette ad, I think of shaving like a normal person.

Huh.  Makes me think of a corporation trying to cheat me out of my money with over-priced razors.

If you were old (like Faxxxi & I) you might think of Victor Kiam, who famously bought Remington after his wife gave him his first electric razor.
"I liked it so much, I bought the company!"
In the late 80s he bought the Pats from the Sullivans, who had owned since they formed.
This made shaving and Patriots go together...so it was a natural fit when Gillette bought naming rights to the new stadium in Foxboro.

I do think of the Patriots, not of Tom Brady....and I think of Victor Kiam/Remington Products.

No, the best but I wouldn't say the greatest. Too much of a tarnished legacy. Same reason BB is the probably the best coach of all time but not the GOAT. He will never be able to accomplish a legacy like Lombardi.

Brady is the GOAT. Not nearly the best quarterback, but based on accomplishment he is the GOAT.

Lombardi is overrated.  Sid Gilman and Bill Walsh were better.  BB is greatest coach ever, imo.
    All subjective choices, of course.

I like Montana the best but it is tough to not give Brady the credit he earned.

I am not a Brady worshipper or a Pats fan... but he has to be in the discussion for 'best' quarterback. His throwing skills alone distinguish him as an all-time elite: he's a great passer (can't run to save his life though- I think he might be slower than Marino was).

I remember clearly when he took the reins from Drew Bledsoe. At the time I thought it was a little unfair to Drew. What did I know?

Lombardi is overrated? He inherited a losing (1-10) team and then with the same exact players won 5 championships in 7 years. While being the first coach to desegregate an NFL locker room. Then he went to Washington and turned the losing Redskins around in a season as well, and would've been able to build a greater legacy there if he had more time.

By far the greatest of all time, nobody will ever come close.

Colts were sacked 10 times today.  Andrew Luck is going to say his shoulder is still sore every week for the rest of the season.  Pathetic coaching.  Pathetic players. Pathetic ownership.  Pathetic front office.  Extremely lucky to get Peyton and then for him to get injured when he did.

They'd be idiots to bring him back this year.

They need offensive linemen. They need skilled players too.

They're in a world of hurt.

Oh, he's a great coach no doubt...but in my mind BB is already better.  Five Super Bowls in a league that is much more complex and competitive than any NFL that Lombardi knew.
Also was D Coordinator on those great Giants teams...winning two Super Bowls
A d coordinator or head coach for 32 years in the NFL.  Strong coaching tree, including the best college coach now who is part of the top all time college coach conversation.

You saying that he is the greatest coach ever by far and that nobody will ever be close is your opinion and a good reason why I think he is overrated.  (Have heard others talk about him that way as well)

(Btw, 2 wins more than the previous year for the Redskins, not like they won a championship or even made the playoffs.)

Very questionable play calling at the goal line. Eesh.

(Not trying to take away anything from the defensive effort... solid for sure)

    * for Belichick for being a convicted cheater.  Hard for me to say on Lombardi because long before my time. In my time you have to give Bill Walsh a long look for totally changing the way offense was played in the NFL. Revolutionized the offensive game in the NFL.

The Niners had a good stretch of dominance underneath him.

Joe Montana's story is a bit like Brady's- both relatively unheralded coming out of college with intangibles that pre draft exercises can't reveal. And both elite QBs that settled into systems perfectly tailored to their abilities.
