Just for the sake of argument (I still think a tour is the most likely announcement) but if they were to release some material like Radiohead, the delay could also be to get the technical stuff up and running.

Not a bad thought. But, don't you think info about a new album would've been leaked at some point? Plus, if this were the case, they wouldn't just put the new material up for download immediately, so I don't think this is the case. Of course, anything is possible, it's not a bad idea. I'm gonna go with a tour though.

I delayed my wedding - my goddamn WEDDING - so I could hear this news.

What the hell am I supposed to do now? Rearrange the damn thing and pay even more money? Jesus H Christ. Last time I pay attention to this band. Always thinking of themselves.

Sounds like you may have other things to worry about.

Hooray for updates. 10C could've easily just announced it tomorrow and called it midweek, but they didn't, so thank you for that.

Now, to try and decode the message: "ducks in basket" is venue confirmation, and "eggs in a row" is tour dates. "You wouldn't want anything less" means "EV tour in Ireland in June". Clearly.
    Hey hey it's okay...

As I said, most likely it's gonna be a tour, so I think you're right to think that they probably need to get some venues confirmed first. Just saying that it's not impossible that technical stuff could behind the delay. If they were to release an EP with 5 or 6 songs from the Avocado sessions and do it per digital download like Radiohead, it's unlikely that they'd leak cuz it would be pretty much an in-house thing that wouldnt leave the 10 c building. And they could also put them up immediately just like they did it with bootlegs during tours.
Well, do you need a lot of what you've got to survive?
