LA people!! Hotel?

Geez, does L.A. have that bad of a mystique, or are people just jumping on a paranoia bandwagon?
We are a huge city, so by the law of averages, we will have more square miles of dodgy areas!
I watch "COPS" all the time, and I bet our crime isn't all that bad compared to some of the stuff across the U.S.!
Stay in West L.A., Beverly Hills, Santa Monica or Sherman Oaks if you really want to be 90% safe!
If anyone feels safer staying in a lily-white suburb, here ya go....it's a nice hotel with plenty of places in walking distance.

Agreed. The point was not that LA is overly dangerous or something. The point was you should pick a hotel where you want to hang out. LA is kind of spread out and that public transit is not the best. That's all. Just do your research and figure out where you want to spend time.San Diego 10/25/00, Mountain View 6/1/03, Santa Barbara 10/28/03, Northwest School 3/18/05, San Diego 7/7/06, Los Angeles 7/9/06, 7/10/06, Honolulu (U2) 12/9/06, Santa Barbara (EV) 4/10/08, Los Angeles (EV) 4/12/08, Hartford 6/27/08, Mansfield 6/28/08, VH1 Rock Honors The Who 7/12/08, Seattle 9/21/09, Universal City 9/30/09, 10/1/09, 10/6/09, 10/7/09, San Diego 10/9/09, Los Angeles (EV) 7/8/11, Santa Barbara (EV) 7/9/11, Chicago 7/19/13, San Diego 11/21/13, Los Angeles 11/23/13, 11/24/13, Oakland 11/26/13, Chicago 8/22/16, Missoula 8/13/18, Boston 9/2/18, Los Angeles 2/25/22 (EV), San Diego 5/3/22, Los Angeles 5/6/22, 5/7/22, Imola 6/25/22, Los Angeles 5/21/24, [London 6/29/24], [Boston 9/15/24]0 -

I prefer to stay by the venue.. You take your poster back to your room..get ur self together.. and take a cab to wherever..the Ramada seems perfect and there are many other 10-clubbers staying there.. I got a room there for three nights after the SB show for the two LA shows... There is a 24 hr. fitness 3 blks. away to sweat out the toxins the next day..:)Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

I hate driving in LA.. I think the Ramada is the best idea.. and just take cabs.. Cheaper and safer than driving in a place you don't know.. Being by the venue is key.. If you have never been to LA, then stay in Hermosa Beach and drive to the show..Buy the ticket, Take the ride..

For those who are still looking for a cheap hotel in LA, I find a Motel 6 at around 50 bucks a single room, it's located at 0,4 miles from the Walk of Fame and 12 miles aways from the Wiltern, here you'll be sure to find europeans and if you never been to LA it's a good place you can put your hands in hands print star's on the sidewalk like you seen it on TV ! Just go on motel6.com and looks for hotel #40440
