Hey y'all. Kiwi fan (from Christchurch) here but I'm living in Sheffield, UK at the mo. Does that still count? :)

No, because Christchurch is not technically part of New Zealand any more.

I pre-ordered thru the Ten Club - fyi, it cost (all up inc. postage) $39.86. Which is not bad, considering the second CD.

The charge came through on your CC already? Or are you just going by the "hold" amount? I don't think they'd charge you until they sent it and exchange rate will change by then, although it should still be around $40 (unless the $ really drops). Wasn't that long ago that we were only getting around 40c, so that album including shipping would have been more like $60!

pretty sure it's been charged - and it's approx. the right amount.

Anyway, I personally think the new Vector Arena (if it's up and going by November, which it damn well should be) would be a better venue for Pearl Jam.

Where is the vector arena supposed to be?

EDIT: Found it. Says completion in May. It damn well better be casue I'd rather have it there than Ericson or NSEC.

I am really hoping they play a couple of nights there. Mostly because you can almost guarantee that it will be all seated and then us 10C members are sorted for the first few rows (probably only the first row in NZ!)
I don't think it is going to be ready in May though. I've heard mid-year or August. Who knows? Only problem with it is no parking but there's always public transport (shudder)

Hey all, been a while since I posted. So I'm gonna bulletpoint my post =).

*Of Course you are welcome here Ziggy, but why did our thread get taken away?
*Pearl Jam WILL be coming this year or early next year. because 1) It's called a worldwide tour and 2)Jeff said there were coming down here end of the year. Providing U2's postponed tour doesn't book up all the venues in Auz.
*The Rock isn't that bad, they actually play a lot of PJ comapred to most bands. Tracey plays me "Yellow Ledbetter" when I request it and Tuesday double shots have turned up some gems like "Release". Jono and Bryce are both Pearl Jam fans as well. With the exception of the Morning Rumble you couldn't expect much more from a commercial radio station.
*Worldwide Suicide has a pop-catch (not in a bad way) to it that the previous 2 albums didn't have. I can see it doing pretty well on radio and Pearl Jam getting a bit more exposure.
*Pearl Jam HAVE to play the Vector Arena because of their policy of playing to only seated venues.

Thats me done, have a wicked day!

Yeah Bryce is big fan he told me last nite. I don't think he's HUGE fan. But then maybe casue he's a DJ he can't show too much bias. He's given Pearl Jam fuckin awesome plugs for the past 3 nights. I've been hanging out ever nite just to hear WWS and him talk about the album even though I know every little available detail.

Agree with you on all points 100%. I get worried everytime I see these "false" down-under tour rumours with NSEC or Ericsson. I really hope they play Vector Arena. If we build it, they will come. I wonder who we need to talk to to give this idea? PJ management, Tour Promotor? They would easily sell out 2 nights there I reckon.
  • Hey NZers. I'm listening to Unemployabe at the moment and loving it.
  • WWS was 21 on the Rock 30. Up on last weeks 28. But still could be better. Considering that it was number 1 on all those stations in the US. And number 3 on the Billboard Rock Tracks. Come on people get voting. I want it to be in the top 20 by next week and top 10 the week after that.

Anyone watching the commonwealth game? Good to see some medals coming. I'm watchin the men's triathalon at the moment.

    Heya Kiwi jammers

My flatmate works for tickettek NZ and she has seen this years booking schedule, she said PJ are penciled in November for a couple of shows

It hasn't been confirmed as yet but I think its a good sign they are heading our way this time

Been a huge fan since 99. Vs is probably my fav album. Loving WWS and Unemployable at the mo.

It's basically a little magazine, filled with stuff. Well, I guess you already knew that. The guys write little articles in it, there's a recipe, contest winner + new contest. Basically not too different from the old newsletters if you have any of them, but in book form.
As for your new signature, not so much...

I really hope if they come in November, they don't play NSEC like the rumours say. Vector Arena would rock!

Yeah I'm really keen for the arena. Hope it's finished by then.
