Hey guys, I had an idea tonight for a friendly forum contest that suits our forum specifically. The contest will be a solo compitition over a sample track made by me. Then we will vote (how will be determined once we know how many people are interested) and see who currently reigns over the rest of us in the guitar world. heres the details:

a) 3 minute sample track, made by myself, and will be hopefully suited for everyone, we can determine tempo, and what key once everyone signs up

b) all users welcome to perform, or judge

c) the recording quality will not be judged, however, computer based effects are considered to be part of your skill.

d) a list of what gear you played will need to be included, mainly so the Guru's can pick apart your tone.

e) once sample track is sent to participants (via email) they will have a deadline to meet (we will determine the length needed) and they must be in mp3 format.

How is this sounding guys? once a bit of input has been put into this, i wil make the track, host it so you guys can take it, and then i will host the tracks, and voting will commense. Please Sign up Here, and also blast a PM my way with your email address so i can send you the sample track when ready. I'm hoping to get 10 people. (by the way, im participating as well)

    I suggest constructive criticism only as a guideline for a healthy contest.

    welcome to the board hombre, i recieved your email. This forum is by far the best on here, were extremely helpful, and sometimes go out of our way to satisfy the needs of others, just read the thank yoru thread i started, and you can see the atmosphere here. We realize no one is *cough*mike mccready*cough* so this is more just fun, and seeing what we all can do sound like. thanks for signin up

    I'm in. What about just RIFTW as a backing track? Easy enough, alot you can do with it, etc... Oh and I think Canada's gonna take this.
