You know of a place that deep fries everything? Not a carnival but an actual place?F Me In The Brain said:
Yes, you can put loads of stuff on it. They would likely put cream on it but you might have to bring it with you and ask them.23scidoo said:Can you go to a pizzeria in states and make your own pizza from certain list of ingredients??
We also have places where you can ask them to batter and deep fry everything.
We eat horribly, as a society, in America. A large % of people eat fast "food" daily ir at least weekly. That shit is poison.
Mediterranean food is much better for you, as much as we like to give you grief about jizzy pizza.

I have a rule about fast food. Only when traveling outside the US. But I went to wingstop at the request of my 18 year old daughter taking her to camp, because the camp food is not good and she wanted chicken tenders. My stomach hurt for two days.
EDIT we do grab five guys or shake shack locally, but not that often.Post edited by Get_Right on0 -

Whopper. Cant eat it anymore.
Cool ranch doritos, same.
Wise Crunchy Cheeze Doodles. Yep.
Granted this is all crap I could eat at one time. My body is rejecting it big time now, which is good. I don't eat it often and will not eat it most likely anymore.
I wonder if they started putting something else in the ingredients that my body said HELL NO!
Thread integrity, I might get some Sorrentos tonight.0 -
If my pizza was to get dipped in ranch, it would immediately get permanently dipped in the trash.Get_Right said:tempo_n_groove said:
Thats a pizza my man... Yogurt or cream usually is outside the box of what we all call "pizza".23scidoo said:

I have Gen Z kids. They dip. In all sorts of sauces. Mango Habanero. Ranch. BBQ sauce. Hot honey. Sweet thai chili. I do not hate it. I enjoy a bit of Siracha on a plain cheese pie.0

Quick bite… too hot to even bbq for me today

when I was going through chemo, 15 years ago, almost NOTHING tasted good to me….I didn’t even like drinking water. it was a battle to eat ANYTHING. really, only two things tasted good….a subway meatball sub or a mcdonald’s sausage muffin.tempo_n_groove said:

I haven’t had a subway meatball sub since. I might still grab a sausage muffin but not since they are no longer a dollar. 🤣
P.S. there was a time, about 40 years ago, when whoppers were also a dollar. There was a burger king right next door to the first fire station I worked at. we didn’t eat particularly healthy at the fire station, back then. the “chow fund” cost you $5 a day. affordability! If I had known then what I know now...

In another life I was a security guard. One day the construction crew asked me to do a lunch run. I took everyone's order and was handed $5, or $6 if they were peckish and wanted something extra. I went down to Carls Jr on old Sierra Highway and ordered 56 meals. The manager actually told me to come around because he thought it was a joke.
If you think about it minimum wage was $5 and one hours pay got you a meal.
I don't think minimum wage will do that for you today since its only $7.25?0 -
I worked construction when I was 19. There was a bar/pizza place that all workers went to after work. It was hard work and long days. In CT we called sandwiches grinders. I had no business being there underage. The manager would pour me a draft beer hand me a cheese slice and a simple, smaller version of what we now call an Italian sub. Just give me a fiver kid.0

Many different regional versions. In CT it is usually a hot grinder, chicken or eggplant parm, sausage and peppers, meatball, and even the classic pepper and egg. We have good pizza around here, and many mediocre overpriced places, but the one thing we do have is great italian delis. Time to make a sangweech!0 -
I miss my Italian sub joint that was 5 minutes from the house. I'll be in Chicago 2 times in the next 6 weeks. I will get
An Italian sub
A beef sandwich
A proper steak burritoTake me piece by piece.....
