I remember liking Talisman but it was way back when it first came out

    Also like Black House

Was a Straub fan, also thought he was Richard Bachman II.

Love both those books and all of Dark Tower (but those last 200 pages were hard to take).  Very excited for T3!

And I need to read some Straub. Any suggestions?

Everything Blake Crouch has been awesome. Still can't decide if I like Upgrade or Recursion more.
Just finished! It was great! I would have said Recursion is better, but now I’m not quite sure!
Bought and read after these posts.
I liked the concept a lot.  Book was pretty good.
Was nice to get a page turner after some slogs

I picked this little gem up at the used bookstore the other day.  I've read tons about Highway 61 Revisited and heard that record a million times (hyperbole much, lol!), so I'm very pleasantly surprised by how much I'm finding this book engaging and informative.  Right from the get-go, the author's description and little tidbits about the cover photograph are fascinating.  Now if only the print were not so tiny.  I may be ruining what's left of my eyesight, haha.  But what a way to go!
One of the best I've read in the 33 1/3 series.

Took the family to see my sister in DC recently. Went to a local independent book store. Randomly my daughter grabbed this and one other of his. She read it, so it’ll be in my stack soon. I did read Blacktop Jungle from him. It was good.

Pragmatically, I'm not at all very keen on the idea of adopting wildlife as pet, but I'm guessing if I ran across a copy of this book I would probably read it and secretively enjoy the heck out of it!
