    Dear 23scido,

Thank you for recommending Ambrose Bierce's greatest American short story, "Occurrence at Owl Creek Bridge".  It was excellent!

    Sincerely,

Yeah that’s the lamb effect. I finished the 1st chapter.. good stuff so far. I cried and cried after She’s come undone. That one really hit me hard.

The Erdrich I showed is pretty strange. Not sure I’d recommend it…but La Rose, the Roundhouse, the Mighty Red and the Night Watchman were all great.

Finished The Buffalo Hunter Hunter. Great book.

Almost done with this one. Walter Mosley and Easy Rawlins are always the best.

  • Just finished this one. Highly recommend. One of the lines I highlighted, “Everything seems fine until it ain’t. And then we come to see it wasn’t never ‘fine’.” made me think what a great line summarizing the theme of the book, our history, white supremacy, and all that still continues today. There’s so much in this book that resonates with me and will stay with me a long time
