    will need to pull a screen shot from the video this morning , but sunday mornings my aa meeting meets at a park on the scioto river in dublin ohio. 

    A beaver swimming up river passed 4 ducklings with no parents swimming down stream and a mama duck and her one duckling swimming up river...

    I play volleyball at our local park. When i got there on Thursday I noticed they had an orange barrier/netting around part of the park. I thought that was kinda odd. I then noticed some people were taking pictures. 

    Later found out that a bald eagle has made this their home along with three young eaglets. So that is pretty cool.

    Came into my den last night and lo and behold there was a two inch wide spider (probably a very large wolf spider) on the wall behind my desk.  Wish I'd thought to grab a photo!  Anyway, I grabbed a clear glass and a stiff piece of card stock in an attempt to capture and release it outside.  But it got away and ran into the little space under my record shelving.

    Funny. I had a small spider i was going to release
     Then I thought I'd leave it to catch any other bugs that may sneak in. It too went under my record shelves!
    2 inches is big! Wouldn't want that crawling on me at night.

    This juvenile Starling was chillin' in my front hedge and didn't fly away when I opened the front door with my big lens in hand.

    It's an older Nikon D7200 with a Sigma 100-400 lens. It's a nice wildlife lens. I don't use it that often, probably because it's heavy to travel with, and that's mainly when I use that camera. But occasionally I'll toss it in the car if I think I might be passing some animals.

    Damn. I didn't get a photo unfortunately, but I just saw a coyote below my balcony for the first time in all the time I've lived here (24 years?!?!), and 30 seconds later I saw a very beautiful cat that I've never seen before running in the same direction. I got scared for the cat and tried to shoo it away. It did end up running in the other direction... it almost looked like the cat was hunting the coyote, lol! I dunno, that was really weird for where I live. A fucking coyote was the most bizarre thing to see after all these years!

    I'm always a bit amazed at how some wildlife is adaptable to urban and suburban areas.   Coyotes are said to be very adaptable that way.  I think it's cool that you got to see one!  We are in a somewhat rural area but I've only seen a coyote here one time.  I was trotting by the house out back and just kept on going.  
    I had to go see my periodontist yesterday down in Folsom and the assistant  sold me she has seen bobcats outside the office a few times.  That surprised me consider the modern density of that town.

    ^ I saw a fox other day, ran off before I could snap a pic… often have an owl in my yard, occasional deer, chipmunks, rabbits, lots of raccoon, possum, hawks… bald eagle in the neighborhood… I love my area.. it’s Long Island but feels like New England.. I’ve been here 9 yrs and made best decision to buy a house here  

    It’s peaceful
