I’m not a GA person myself but I kind of like that they have it.  Once in a while I might dabble, but the energy in the pit section is kind of symbiotic with the band and it creates a better vibe for the show.  I also have friends who love the pit experience and I’m the type of person who is happy for his friends when they’re happy.  I’m usually content with a decent reserve seat and a chill experience.
Well if your happy with my happiness, that makes me happy.   Thank you Ken
    I meant my other friends!

Big problem with going back to a fully seated floor is the way the ticketing landscape has changed. 95% of that GA space would likely be “premium” and priced at $500-2000. Be careful what you wish for.
How much have GA tickets been the last few years?
So far, Pearl Jam hasn't really used tier pricing. So, GA is the same price as the other seats in the venue. The exception is the the 10% of seats that TM charges as premium. GA is not included in that.

The whole arena is the same price?! That's cool 😎
Not if you end up in the back of the upper deck.
@aisleseats have you noticed that TM has been selling “aisle seat offer” tickets for shows recently? Pairs of seats that touch an aisle marked up by 20% from the non aisle seats next to them. 🤮 Pure evil.

Conversely, I quite literally not care less about your happiness. Haha

As a very tall person who has to essentially pay double for "added leg room" (plus double for my young kids to sit next to me) on long flights just so I don't get deep vein thrombosis, yes, I have noticed TM has started pulling this BS as well.

Bigger shows are just a total nightmare now. The more you can go to clubs, the better your overall experience is. I don’t know what it’s gonna look like when Pearl Jam fires up the engines again.

Younger me loved GA. Mosh pits, bloody noses, claustrophobic conditions, all smiles.  48 year old me now loves seats lol.

Make no mistake. They have bought in. But they could charge more. Its ok as long as they keep playing. $200-$250 for two hours of Pearl Jam is fair. Spend two hours with me it will cost you much more.

They have done a phenomenal job of keeping 10C ticket prices well below what a similar show at similar venues would cost. Especially when you consider the quality of tickets we receive. I don't know how much longer they'll be able to push against all these headwinds but I'm really thankful for how long they've managed to so far.

For me it's a trade off.    If I had a choice of 10th row tickets for GA tickets, I'd rather have 10th row seated :)  If my choice is 30th row floor or a GA section up front, or nosebleeds or a GA pit up front, I'll choose the GA.

I'd rather be up close with seats, but with 10c my seats kept getting further back to odds were slim to none, so at least there's a chance with GA of getting up close.

Yeah, they've actually been doing it for years. At first, it was just a few random artists/venues. And it has slowly grown to almost every show now. Pisses me off.

In the past it was very true. It is part of why we love this band. But it has not been true for the last few rounds. Higher prices and seats farther back. I do not mind the price increases, but I do mind being farther back in a venue so someone with deeper pockets can get closer by paying an outrageous sum. At least for me, the quality of the tickets has gone downhill for 10C members. I believe there is a compromise with TM. We will give you you 10% of the venue for your fan club, but we are not giving you the prime seats. Those are all sold through dynamic pricing. Just calling it like I see it.
