    ^^^happens in 3s.
Nice. Water snake. Not venomous but could give a bad bite if you play around with it!

Well, let’s hope number 3 is not venomous as well!

Snakes by me not recent. Saw them both in September.
Ringneck and corn snake. The corn snake did not want to be handled and It's the only one I ever saw. Didn't know what it was. Love snakes.

Ringnecks are small snakes. Bright orange belly. Caught worm snakes too. Solid tan and small. Orange belly too.  smart to never to pick any snakes up. If I know exactly what it is and it's acting chill. I'll usually grab it. Some will excrete some stinky stuff on you as a defense.
Generally in my locale, if thet have a triangular head, venomous. Id even be careful taking a picture of them. I never want to know how it feels to be bit by a poisonous snake!

Nice pictures! Yeah, I know about the triangular head shape. It’s funny when you are freaked out, your mind might just tell you all the heads look triangular! 😀

I've seen watersnakes. 99% sure they were. Maybe I was where they wanted to go. They went away from me. Turned around. Flattened their necks and came towards me to go under a rock. I think they were mimicking a venomous snake. Also saw a big black rat snake shake its tail against the leaves to try to sound like a rattlesnake. Nature always amazes me.
Have an acquaintance that always kills snakes in his yard, I discouraged him and finally he relocated one.
Only saw 1 this year. Didn't get a good look at it. Assumed it was a water snake because it was swimming.

Update on the owlets. It seems they have left the nest. Saw them yesterday with momma keeping a close eye on me.

Great photos!  Love those little owlets!
