My goal this year was to read all of the remaining unread books that I own. I've made a huge dent in the pile so far, but am really stuck on 'Built to Last'. It's slightly outdated and I just can't get into it. Do I dare just not finish it?Midwest. Indy/Lafayette.0

Just finished! It was great! I would have said Recursion is better, but now I’m not quite sure!loadedgun said:

Been reading the first Hunger Games this week. Yes, I know I'm only about 15 years late to this trend, but am reading it with my 12 year old. I'm impressed that the movie is so far 100% in-line with the book. Really enjoying it, very quick read.Midwest. Indy/Lafayette.0

I'm very much enjoying this one. Great outdoor stories from one of our most steadfast wilderness warriors!

Finished up Exiles. A short, creepy read. A bit of a haunted house Martian book (less science though).
Starting Absolution. Loved the Southern Reach trilogy. Same creepiness in this one so far.0 -

Great, Lou, I hope you like it.It's amazing to me to read about how Peacock has spent weeks at a time in desert areas with so little water to be found or going into remote parts of Montana for weeks at a time to observe and study grizzly bears. I had read the Bill Hodges trilogy and decided to read all the Holly books since King said there would only be 1 more. Had to put that on hold once he announced Other Worlds Than These, the final book in the Talisman trilogy, and final book in The Dark Tower saga. Haven't read this since I spent 1.5 years reading the complete Dark Tower road map (all books in order that are tied in) before the final volume came out. Disliked it just as much as the first time, one of the few. I would blame Straub, but Black House was stellar. On to that one before T3 comes out in October.1996: 9/29 Randall's Island 2, 10/1 Buffalo 2000: 8/27 Saratoga Springs
