Not a fan at all of Carolina’s choice of jerseys for this series either. I don’t care for the logo, what the hell is it supposed to be? Their normal logo looks much better, imo.

I've never liked Carolina's primary or 3rd jerseys, but the Hartford Whalers heritage throwbacks are perfection.

What a start Buffalo had in the series tonight! After the Lightning got bumped again in the first round, I'm all in on Buffalo and have tickets to game 7. Although after tonight, it may not need 7 games.

Montreal is a hard team to really hate right now. Have not won the cup in many years, are not usually a highly competitive team year to year so hate doesnt build up.... the best and wildest fan base in the league. Great uniforms and history. Always liked Martin St Louis.

At one point they were the evil empire. As a kid I hated them.

As a Bruins fan it's in our DNA to hate Montreal, yet I was rooting for them to knock off TB. This definitely not your father's Oldsmobile Canadiens team.

As a Habs fan I'm just glad they got past Tampa. I really didn't want to play Buffalo in the first round and don't expect to get past them in the second. Don't get me wrong, I'm rooting for them but I wince a lot haha

I dunno about some of the penalties in hockey….

you might whack a guy hard with a high stick…no blood and it’s a two minute minor….tick someone’s nose and draw a drop of blood and it’s a four minute double minor.

last night, VGK’s mcnabb put basically a clean hit on a guy…unfortunately, the dude’s head bounced off the glass and he was probably concussed (hope he’s OK)…..mcnabb gets a five minute major and is thrown out of the game. the hit didn’t look malicious to me.

I know. Still didn’t think it warranted a five minute penalty and an ejection…but I’m biased…and not a super hardcore hockey guy. But I do love me some Stanley Cup playoffs!

It was a blatant Interference, and it plastered his head into the glass. Easy, and correct, call. (I have no dog in the fight)

How about the cheap But-End from the Colorado player (I forget his name)?

one thing I do like about the NHL is 99.9% of the time guys, like McNabb, just take their penalties with no theatrics….unlike the NBA, where guys either whine for a foul to be called or act incredulous when a foul is called on them.

the head snapping back with face grab after a high stick is a little soccer-like but oh well.
