After that end of the season turnaround and run to the Cup final, Torts won't go long without a job if he wants one. He'd be a much better option than Babcock in Edmonton. Babcock would be a disaster for the Oilers, or any team for that matter. 

Vegas GM Kelly McCrimmon is such a troll. Oilers wanted Bruce Cassidy but Vegas did not "give permission" for them to speak since hes still under contract. However, he said he did give permission for Cassidy to speak with another team, but it just wasn't Edmonton.

most of us find excuses for our favorite players/teams. hell, I’m a HUGE Barry Bonds fan. that said, I’d have a hard time rationalizing Babcock.

Babcock scratched Mike Modano in his final game just to be a dick.  Modano was going for his 1,500th game and finished with 1,499 played.  Total dick move, and this was one of Babcock's lighter transgressions.  

I can't see him coaching today's generation.  He will have all the Oilers in therapy for the rest of their lives.  But the Oilers management see all those trophy's ... but the Red Wings had the Swedish all-star team, a magician Russian and two of the best goalies to play the game.

truly was one of his lighter transgressions. his treatment of guys fighting for jobs was even worse, IMO.

Only 2 of them, thankfully. The next trilogy will be the Hughes brothers.

The writing was on the wall after the Olympics. I knew it'd be Brady's last game as a Sen after getting swept by the Canes but I didn't think Florida would be able to pull it off. As a Lightning/Rangers fan, they're gunna be a problem.

Keith Tkachuk is not a Hall of Famer but I guess when you have really good sons playing they throw you a bone?  No major awards, good player not a Hall of Famer.
