if i was a betting man, and i am, with zero information, i would say they will play shows spring of 2027.  and i think they try a drummer out live before going into the studio.  just a guess, no info here.

Same! We enjoyed the hell out of it. The shows, finally meeting a few folks from these forums and visiting new places.

PJ with JK on drums > no PJ and no PJ rumors.

This is for sure an off year.
We can close the book on 2026, let them enjoy the break and wait for 2027.
I also think we're not going to get any live shows before the fall of 2027.

For PJ, more than likely you are right. For a solo EV tour, there is still a chance.

This all seems like needless speculation. It's no secret that Ed will be returning from Japan with Kahokiss in tow.
    For sure!!

Also, I can't imagine why the rest of the forum is ignoring us true Kahokiss believers 🤭🤭.
And when Eddie doesn't come back with her, we'll just believe it's still her even harder 😂

Got my dark horse wager / fantasy on a drummerless acoustic tour. 4-5 shows.

I absolutely love what the drums add to the music, but I guarantee I would also love this kind of show. Do it, PJ!! ❤️

Or just JK on some bongo-stuff or small percussion. I mean you want some sort of beat i guess..

Strokes pit tix today are over $300 Cdn 🤣
A band who doesn’t even belong in arenas charging that…I’m speechless.
Damn! Weezer is coming here with Jimmy Eat World, Dashboard Confessional, Silversun Pickups for Halifax Music Fest . One night, June 27th. https://www.sonicconcerts.com/events/weezer-june-27-2026/ Price is not bad.

    CDN currency .. General Admission: $133.58 - $177.02. Bleacher: $155.30 - $198.73/ Premium: $329.05 - $383.35

I wanna see Silversun Pickups. My ears would bleed if Weezer takes the stage.

Silversun Pickups is one of my favourite "never quite made it huge" bands. Thankfully, they tour constantly and it is never expensive. But Weezer is a pass for me too.

It seems like everyone is an arena act these days and I have no idea who is buying these tickets.

    Oh they are fantastic!

Jonathan Cohen interviewed Josh recently about his new record, and asked:

JC: If in some universe they asked you to play drums, would you do it?

JK: In a heartbeat. It would be the fulfillment of my dreams. The sad fact is that I don’t play enough drums these days to at least appear like I’ve got it under control. I did one full show and a smattering of other ones. For the record, I’d do it before you could even finish the question.

    No, thank you.
    Why not?
    He's not a drummer.
Anyone who can play drums is a drummer. You’re not limited to only one instrument.
No offense to any drummers here but I’d rather see a true drummer step in after all we’ve been watching Matt fucking Cameron for 30 years!
Drums were his first instrument and he started playing at 9. Not sure what people here consider a drummer or not.

I play drums. MC is one of my favorite drummers ever.

And Pearl Jam’s music isn’t that complicated to play on drums. MC is capable of playing way harder stuff like he did with Soundgarden. Pearl Jam basically comes down to energy and stamina. Especially if they go back to longer sets.
Well longer sets are a thing of the past with this band even with a new drummer, Josh himself says he’s not sure of his drumming abilities but I’m sure with practice he could def do the job
Yeah the days of 30 plus song sets are gone it seems, even Ed's solo shows in Japan were much shorter than years gone by.

Eh...these were 22-24 songs and the shows I saw in 2008-2011 were 24-26 songs. Close enough it seems. Maybe the Earthlings shows were longer?
