Our lives will end before this country changes its attitude towards the outside world! As long as you have multimillionaire billionaires dictating policy

That's because Johnson is a Christian Nationalist, not a true person of faith.
I may not be a dyed-in-the-wool person of faith myself, but I have nothing but disdain for these Christian Nationalist phony "Christians".  They are pure evil.

agreed...I'm not religious at all (used to be) but I can totally support someone like Talarico that clearly has strong faith but also a strong belief in separation of church and state.

That separation is vital for religion as much as it is governing

Was listening to NPR and they had an economist on there discussing what the US is doing.

I was quite surprised at this.

Going after Venezuela and Iran puts China in economic turmoil because they are oil dependent.  These two countries is where they get a majority of it from.  Cutting this off puts their future pricing on oil out of whack, so to speak, not to mention their supplies.

It's an attack on China at the end of the day.  It is a powerplay.  Problem is that we rely on almost everything that China makes.  Their economic strain will put us in one too.  When it costs them more to make things, it will cost us more to buy said things.

It was a checkers move instead of playing chess...
can't they call in our debt and cripple us at any time as well?

leave it to trump to poke the bear at the wrong time.
Can't believe no one else jumped on this...

I don't think thats how it works.  We are a cash cow for them.

*The following opinion is mine and mine alone and does not represent the views of my family, friends, government and/or my past, present or future employer. US Department of State: 1-888-407-4747.

Sure, he’s all there. Just yet another display of CCOOTWH’s brilliant brilliance of brilliancy. From Letter From An American:

Meanwhile, Trump posted four screeds about the proposed White House ballroom today after U.S. District Judge Richard Leon, appointed by Republican president George W. Bush, stopped its above-ground construction but permitted construction of the below-ground bunker to continue. In one of his missives, Trump complained:

“The White House doesn’t have a Ballroom (No Taxpayer Money!), which Presidents have desperately wanted and desired for over 150 years, but a Trump Hating, Washington, D.C. District Court Judge, a man who has gone out of his way to undermine National Security, and to make sure that this Great Gift to America gets delayed, or doesn’t get built, is attempting to prevent future Presidents and World Leaders from having a safe and secure large scale Meeting Place, or Ballroom, one with Bomb Shelters, a State of the Art Hospital and Medical Facilities, Protective Partitioning, Top Secret Military Installations, Structures, and Equipment, Protective Missile Resistant Steel, Columns, Roofs, and Beams, Drone Proof Ceilings and Roofs, Military Grade Venting, and Bullet, Ballistic, and Blast Proof Glass—which all means that no future President, living in the White House without this Ballroom, can ever be Safe and Secure at Events, Future Inaugurations, or Global Summits. This Magnificent Space will allow them to carry out their vital duties as the Leader of our Nation. Furthermore, the Ballroom, which is being constructed on budget and ahead of schedule, is needed now. Almost all material necessary for its construction is being built and/or on its way to the site, ready for installation and erection. Much of it has already been paid for, costing Hundreds of Millions of Dollars. If somebody, especially one with no standing, had a complaint—Why wasn’t it filed many months earlier, long before Construction was started? The Public Record was open for all to see. Everybody knew that it was planned, and going to be built. This highly political Judge, and his illegal overreach, is out of control, and costing our Nation greatly. This is a mockery to our Court System! The Ballroom is deeply important to our National Security, and no Judge can be allowed to stop this Historic and Militarily Imperative Project. Thank you for your attention to this matter! President DONALD J. TRUMP”

Ahead of what is predicted to be a dangerous wildfire season, the Trump Administration gutted the Forest Service by closing its regional headquarters along with most research facilities and experimental forests. Bill McKibben reports on what Trump’s reorganization of the Forest Service means for rural America: https://newyorkermag.visitlink.me/G5KAKJ

the rats that are freeing themselves from Trumpworld (The Megyn Kellys, Alex Jones, and Tucker here) see the writing on the wall and they want to make sure their career will continue on. They aren't moved by some come to Jesus moment, they just see the sinking ship and want to survive.

    Ugh... that gif...

Anyway... I'm, certainly not going to be his newest fan and I wouldn't trust him as far as I could throw him, but his words were strong enough- “You and I and everyone else who supported him – you wrote speeches for him, I campaigned for him – I mean, we’re implicated in this for sure... In very small ways, but in real ways, you and me and millions of people like us are the reason this is happening right now.”  If that helps get some of those who voted to The Clown, all the better.
I'm calling this a good turn.
