EB Research Partnership
Thank you SiriusXM for speaking with Eddie Vedder and I about our documentary Matter of Time on Netflix, our mission and vision at EB Research Partnership, the rare disease community, and a few fun stories as well. When I was a kid I would studiously read Rolling Stone (most often more than my homework), and hung on every word and interview by legendary journalist David Fricke. Teenage me would have never believed he'd be asking me questions one day. Thank you David for being inspired by our doc and the EB community. We talk a lot about innovation, but I also believe a rock and roll mentality can lead to pioneering progress as well. 🤘 https://lnkd.in/eFe9uD9h

Watch party for “Matter of Time” movie featuring Eddie Vedder of Pearl Jam being held Friday, April 24
QUINCY — Luther Memorial Church invites community members to a special watch party of Matter of Time, a powerful film about the fight against Epidermolysis Bullosa (EB), from 6 to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 24, at the church.
This event will also serve as a free-will fundraiser to support both EB research and Rowan’s ongoing fight. Following the film, Rowan and her family will join online for a live Q&A, offering a chance to hear their story, ask questions and learn more about this important cause. Come for an evening of community, compassion and support.

I watched this last weekend. Probably the saddest documentary I have watched in awhile, although also kind of amazing. Scientists are amazing as are those families.
One small question though. Behind Eddie there were two women dressed like the women in the dream sequence from The Big Lebowski, with bowling pin headdresses. Did they do anything during the show or just stand there?0 -

Just watched this tonight. I don’t even know what to say. I was a blubbering mess throughout the whole thing. God bless those suffering with the horrible disease and their families/loved ones. And to Eddie & Jill for helping to hopefully find a cure someday soon.Dallas, TX (November 15, 2013)
