    I was sick all last week. I made those homemade pizzas I posted before the worst of it. Finally started to feel like myself again yesterday, but definitely tired and not 100. Last night was a night to use up leftover ingredients in the fridge. English Muffin pizzas it is. Compared to my other pizzas, these were not the greatest, but they at least filled me up.

    Sometimes easy and simple works great. We make pizza toast, tortillas, and bagels more than we order out. Rao's sauce, fresh mozz, fresh basil or Italian seasoning, maybe pepperoni, onion or jalapenos, and you are good to go!

    I've said this too after eating GREAT pizza.  A lot of them make the same pizza and only a few, to me, are above and beyond better.

    They all copy each other.  I do like a well done crust like Portnoy and it might be his own personal preferences but I tend to agree with him.

    Also he has mentioned that Sorrentos was a great slice and gave it an 8.7. That is at least one Long Island spot he liked.

    I want to try Umbertos.  They seem to get a lot of accolades.

    I’m in Atlanta. They are from a place called Antico. These were from the new location near me in the suburbs. I like the downtown, original location better. But still great!

    Yeah, I would not call Atlanta a pizza city, but it has become so diverse that the food options across all cuisines are quite good!

    Another fantastic place downtown is Pielands. They do this really good grandma pie called the Green Granny. Homemade sauce and a pesto drizzle over the fresh mozzarella and basil. It is so good.
