    Last week I was convinced Rose Byrne should win the Oscar for best actress (and I would still be happy about that), but after seeing this last night, I think Jessie deserves it.

    Both very good movies but Train Dreams wove it's way into somewhere deep for me.

    Huh? I have never ever told anyone that Sneakers is great, or talked about it at all. Must have been someone else!

    besides how striking the film is, the narration just kept sounding to me like a bad Awnold impression. lol.

    Okay, just saw it.

    Performances are great, especially Jesse Buckley. Set design and costuming is nice. The story is a bit bonkers, and it is filled with all kinds of ideas. Certain plot threads could have been the centerpiece instead of others, and it could have been a different movie.

    Should you see it? If you are budgeting, maybe not. But if you want to see something crazy, that you might not be fully on board with, but will enjoy all the big swings Gyllenhaal takes, yeah it’s worth your time.  There are some strange scenes in the beginning that I wasn’t vibing with totally. 

    I’m not entirely sure how I feel about it. I have a hard time recommending it to anyone who is a casual movie goer.
