Was it as bad as the initial reviews I'm seeing?

I heard and read no review before I watched The Bride. There are two famous monster and violent moments plus a lot more incl. a black comedy tone. There is at least one reason for the R-rating but all in all I can’t call it a horror movie. It’s probably a good idea to expect something that’s different than a horror movie. And pretty sure a lot of the attraction depends on how the bride in person works alive.
Found some bits of reviews - what sums up what I saw (;except it’s not my „new favorite movie“)
