No. One should get this excited, but all i e heard about since i committing to go to Japan is this egg sandwich… which im being told ( 711 guy no ingles) has been stateside since late 2025…. I tried one last night and wow…. Im sure the Japanese ones are even better… I know cheaper for sure but this was pretty damn good
and I’m glad Punch the monkey is being treated better as of late from other monkeys… don’t worry guy, your big bro from ny will have a talk for you if need be 🐒🤣… I’ll prob go visit him anyway now

It is better in Japan. Or even at a Japanese grocery store in the US. That does not look close.0

There is a place in Brooklyn I went to long time ago that has all kinds of Japanese sandwiches… I hear the trick is to throw a katsu chicken filet in the middle…. Balling 🤣Get_Right said:It is better in Japan. Or even at a Japanese grocery store in the US. That does not look close.0 -
There are authentic places in NYC. Sunrise mart on E6th st. (little japan) and in midtown near the NYC public library. I think they are still open. There is another market on 47th and lex. and katagiri near Bloomingdale's on 59th. They normally serve three sandwiches in a takeout box with tuna salad, egg salad and pork katsu. All on Japanese bread. Why 711, Family Mart and Lawson have not brought the Japanese concept to the US puzzles me. Maybe it is too expensive to operate here in the US where there is enough traffic to sustain the business. You can eat well for $6 at a Japanese convenience store. $10 with dessert. Matcha roll cake!Post edited by Get_Right on0

Japan is one of the best places on earth. Doing some schedule gymnastics to hit the Nagoya show.
If you haven't been to baseball in Japan, spend the 4 hours and go. Find yourself the Fan Participation section, chug the Sapporo, and learn all the songs and dances.
And hit some listening bars in Tokyo.0 -

Baseball is fun in Japan. Bring ear plugs. I am not kidding.0 -
I will be going for the first time in July (missed EV by just a bit!). As someone whose favorite sport is baseball, I cannot WAIT to go to a game in both Tokyo and Osaka while I'm there....kaw753 said:Japan is one of the best places on earth. Doing some schedule gymnastics to hit the Nagoya show.

Hi all. I'm heading to Japan in April and came across https://drum-tao-kyoto.com/en/ during trip planning and research for Kyoto. I'm going to buy a ticket, as it looks amazing. Just thought I would pass along."Your light's reflected now, reflected from afar. We were but stones, your light made us stars."0

Bring ear plugs for the drum shows as well. Fun, cultural but damn loud. And do go for sushi breakfast. 7AM.
This has always ben my spot.

While I was lucky to get 10C tickets during the initial presale (and, as luck would have it, already had a Japan trip booked over the course of the entire four show run), to those that may have missed out, this site appears to indicate that tickets are still available to each of the Osaka, Kyoto (S Class only) and Tokyo shows. This is the "international" site for those outside of Japan. No lottery, no hoops, by the looks of things. This is NOT a resale site - it is linked directly from the promoter:

For those going or have been to Japan, what enticed you to one city over another or if you only could choose one, where would you recommend. If I do decide to go I will be going solo, I have no issues travelling alone but in this case English is my only spoken and written language and I have fears of getting on the wrong train or getting turned around and finding myself lost. Although I tend to overthink things sometimes and I have been told that everyone is friendly and they like to practice their English plus I know there are plenty of translation apps and eSIM readily available for your phone.
The last time I looked there were still international tickets available for Osaka, Kyoto and Tokyo. I was thinking Tokyo, as a big city it may be geared a little more towards tourists, but it's also a big city and more ways for me to get lost
I weighed the Ohana option (making assumptions on that one) and financially it is much easier to swing Japan this year. I welcome ideas, thoughts, words of wisdom, encouragement or even discouragement (if well justified).

It all depends on what you are looking for, the city itself, the EV show or a combo? The venues has different capacities, Nagoya and Kyoto around 2000, Osaka 2700 and Tokyo 8000. My thoughts was: it’s a once in a lifetime to se EV at a 2000 capacity venue. If I should choose one, I’ll go for Kyoto. It’s the first capital of Japan and lots of stuff to se there. But Kyoto don’t have an airport, that’s in Osaka so do both of those 😉Jay-nice said:For those going or have been to Japan, what enticed you to one city over another or if you only could choose one, where would you recommend. Fly to Haneda in Tokyo. Not Narita unless the savings is significant. Spend a night there. Get an early train to Kyoto and spend a day or two there. If you have the time and the budget stay two nights in each city. You can find very reasonable hotels in both cities if you just want a place to sleep. It is actually cheaper to stay, eat and drink in Japan than many cities. The flight and transportation from the airport is usually the biggest expense. Cheapest is the bus, then the train, then a taxi. Do a little research on the different lines, the stops and where you want to go. It is mostly done by phone now, so find the app and be ready. Things move fast in Japanese stations.
Try to get some yen before you go. Bring a change purse, coins are still a thing in Japan, especially if you are in any old school places. Sounds silly but it is true. Good news is that the exchange rate has never been better, If you have US dollars they will go far in Japan. You may even be able to get cheaper concert tickets.
One thing I suggest to foreigners visiting Japan without a Japanese speaking person is to hire a guide. Whether you want to see historical sights, shopping, or a food tour. It can be touristy, and some places might be obvious, but it is fun and you meet other people. I go to Japan for the food. The temples are amazing, but I want that small sushi place off the beaten path.

As for the EV Japan tour I think ID is not required to pick up the tickets. You just go to Seven-eleven store and show the reference number (you may have to small amount of fee there).Osaka 1995
