    and I’m glad Punch the monkey is being treated better as of late from other monkeys… don’t worry guy, your big bro from ny will have a talk for you if need be 🐒🤣… I’ll prob go visit him anyway now
    Japanese zoos often lag behind global animal welfare standards, with many facilities featuring archaic, cramped concrete enclosures, particularly in bear parks and smaller zoos. While the Japan Association of Zoos and Aquariums (JAZA) is working with international groups like Wild Welfare to improve conditions, Japan lacks strict national laws specifically protecting captive zoo animals.

    Decided to make the trip for the last three shows. I recently got a Bilt card and hit the sign up bonus right before they had a 100% transfer bonus to Japan Airlines... I took that as a sign that it was meant to be and booked R/T in business class for a modest amount of Bilt and CapOne points.... Also down to hit a baseball game

    JAL business class is one of the best ways to travel to Japan. Haneda or Narita? Get the Japanese menu if you do not mind a little fishiness.
    Narita
    Are you going straight to Tokyo? If yes, check the Narita Express train to Shinjuku. It is the fastest way in to Tokyo. Cab will be $200+ and is not any faster than the bus, which takes 2 hours to get to Tokyo from Narita, although this is probably the most popular option. Book ahead if you can.
    Well I'm flying to Osaka first (layover at Narita) but return flight is from Narita after the last show. Will look into the train
    Trains are definitely the way to get around Japan. Buses are a bit cheaper and just fine, just expect traffic and a longer travel times. You definitely want the train to Narita from Shinjuku. Try book any inland travel ahead of time. Have a blast!
    Got myself a 7 day rail pass and made a bunch of seat reservations for a nice self guided tour doubling as an EV follow itinerary.
    PJ: 2013: London (ON); Buffalo; 2014: Cincinnati; 2016: Sunrise, Miami, Toronto 1-2, Wrigley 2; 2018: London (UK) 1, Milan, Padova, Sea 2, Wrigley 1-2, Fenway 1-2; 2021: SHN, Ohana, Ohana Encore 1-2; 2022: LA 1-2, Phx, Oak 1-2, Fresno, Copenhagen, Hyde Park 1-2; Quebec, Ottawa, Hamilton, Toronto; MSG, Camden, Nashville, Louisville, St. Louis, OKC; 2023: St. Paul 1-2, Chicago 1-2; Fort Worth 2; Austin 1-2; 2024:  Vancouver 1-2, LV 1-2, LA 1-2, Napa, Barcelona 1-2; Indy; Chicago 1-2; MSG 1-2; Philly 2; Boston 2; Ohana 1-2; 2025: FL 1-2, ATL 1-2, Nash 1-2, Pit 1-2.

    They are awesome. As are the bento boxes you get at the train stations to eat on the train. And some the best and cheapest food in Japan is also found at convenience stores, including 7-11. Yes, 7-11.

    All of this feels like a Trojan horse to make Pearl Jam viable to tour there again.

    Send Eddie over to see how well tickets sell, and if it's popular, the whole band comes over at some point.   Pretty clever.

    Need to pick them up at a 7eleven in Japan, don’t know if id is necessary, if so, you can’t sell them.  If you find one who wants them you still need to trust him or he could just say he couldn’t get them without your id.  Don’t think any show is sold out

    Just send the official email or even only a screenshot of the relevant part with the number or email only the number. Add your ID >> black photo, passport number, first name, city, street… everything except surname + country. No special detail was necessary to buy the ticket.
    It is not your risk! You could sell this x-times, but only the first person could print the ticket in Japan.
    Edit: you could even add a short note (AI translated > for the shop staff in Japan)

    Question for the Japanese fans ... can you tells us what the typical rules and protocols are for the concert venues?
    - Can we bring regular handbags/backpacks inside the venues? (In many places in Canada, this is no longer permitted).
    - Do you think there will be merchandise for sale at the show? Can we bring poster tubes?

    Many thanks! Arigato gozaimasu.
    @giventofly69
    hi, from my experiences

    1)You can usually bring in your handbags/backpacks as long as they are reasonable size.
    2)At this moment no info available about merchandise but I have never seen a show of major artists like Eddie without merch stand at the venue. Although not clear if posters will be sold, I will bring my tube! And CDs and vinyls are usually sold at the venue and often they offer small gifts like pins for purchasing.

    Hey, Taka-T or anyone who knows it -
    just to clarify a ticket detail:
    13-digit "Ticket Exchange Number“
    It seems you can ignore all the printers in any 7/11 shops, because these printers are only in service for prints with 8 or 11 digit ticket numbers.
    It seems for the 13-digit EV ticket you must ask the staff.
    (only 8 or 11)

    + detail for ticket sellers:
    Do they accept a 13-digit number written on the bare hand or written on a sheet of chewing gum paper (for example;) without phone or any further detail ?

    @D-Day
    The Ticket Exchange Number will be issued on a designated day. For example, the one for Nagoya will appear on my page in my Ticket Pia account after 7 April 10am, for Osaka after 9 April 10am (I am not sure about international customers, but guess a notificaon email will be sent out to you prior to that time).

    And yes, you can ignore multi-copy machine (I have never used it to pick up my tickets at 7/11).

    All you need to do is go to the cash register at 7/11 store and show the staff the exchange number (handwritten on a sheet of chewing gum paper will work, of course, as long as it is legible and correct) or barcode. No need to show your ID or phone number.

    I don't know if I answered all to your questions. But to sum up, you just go to the cash register at any 7/11 store with the exchange number or barcode. You may have to pay a small amout of ticket-issuing fee like a dollar.
