A beautiful day here in London
My family is finally at Heathrow getting out of London. They did enjoy their stay, including three extra days, having dinner at St. John, lunch at the Hereford Arms, a good chippy (chippie), and tea at the Savoy.
EDIT: My son also bought a Barbour Jacket, which cost me a fortune and I am not looking forward to keeping the wax fresh.

I just looked up what in the hell a Barbour jacket is.

$700 for a jacket?  I guess if I had the money to throw at it.  I'm guessing most people won't know what it is and how much it costs.

    I learn something new everyday.

I take consolation that it is not Gucci or Louis Vuitton. That would have cost me much more. And he may wear it for 20 years. My son is smart about expensive purchases. He does have some style and is attending a state school so I give him some space. He knows it will be ten years before I buy him anything like that. I guess a good suit and a tuxedo is probably on the horizon.
It’s another high end line I have never heard of.  I went down a watch rabbit hole some years back and did noit realize the high end brands that were out there. It’s not just the ones that advertise.

Good on your kid for appreciating the finer things and appreciating what they are. The higher end clothing I buy tends to last longer so I get it.

A few suits are definitely a good purchase.

He is a good kid and has turned into a good young man. He did go through the sneakerhead and the Supreme phase, (effing $250 sweatshirts and $300 Yeezys). But that is long over. On my 21st birthday my mom walked me into Brooks Brothers and told the man, "my son needs a tux, give him the works." That was 36 years ago. I still have it and it still fits. I guess something like that is in my near future.
Supreme is such a good marketer.  I have seen people dressed from head to toe in advertisements with their clothes. Making almost everything "limited" helps too.

Pretty amazing that half the cast of KIDS worked there at one time.
I will say their quality is very good. Much of their stuff we bought was made in Canada and is still in great shape years later. Even the T-shirts. I probably pressed F5 for more box logos than Pearl Jam tickets.

I remember when Supreme was just a strange skate shop across the street from the Beastie Boys XL store. On Lafayette near the Temple Bar.
    Good memory.

I remember the most random obscure shit but cannot remember where I left my keys!

Still cold, 27F, but otherwise fine. They closed the schools because of "the possibility of a snow storm." Now I understand when my grandpappy used to walk 5 miles in the snow with no shoes while delivering newspapers and caddying a looper on the way to school.

Fun fact.  NYC does NOT close schools because the kids get meals and it provides a daycare service.

Snow days were THE BEST when I was younger.  Skitching and throwing snowballs at cars.  Things the kids don't do anymore...

We are getting a dusting today.  Weather moved North to @Get_Right neck of the woods.

There is something about where we live. 36 miles north of NYC. It is like a giant thumb that sticks out. I am not going to say we live on a mountain for those that live in real elevation like Utah or Colorado. But we get snow when the next three towns around us do not. Seems like it might happen today. And I guess it has something to do with the bus drivers, even a threat of snow and they walk off. I do not mind my kid getting a snow day. But it better snow!

Finally after 39 days we got some snow. We need and like snow here on the Front Range. Unfortunately this might be it for winter as we have temps in the high 70s in a few days.

Weather finally breaking here in NY. 56F at the moment, 60s predicted for the coming week. My guess there might be some flooding from the melting snow.

First snow of the winter happening today in Vancouver - nothing major though, and mixed with rain at lower elevations. This winter has been so mild.
