I had that tailbone injury playing football in high school. It fucking hurts. You cannot get comfortable at all and it takes time to go away. And yes you scrape everything else trying not to fall. Godspeed.
I broke my tailbone about 10 years ago and it took me probably 3 years to get used to living with it.
The doc I went to said there was nothing they could do beyond a fairly invasive surgery that risked messing with the things around there...to the point that they advised against considering.
Got some shots along the way but ultimately built up my glutes and learned how to sit differently.
Do bring a special pillow on flights of 3 hrs plus and gave different ones for my car, office chair, etc...but outside of making sure I bring the pillow on some plane trips I dont much notice it any longer.
Crazy how your body can adapt.

    Fucking ice.

Here I am complaining about the unusually warm winter on the Colorado Front Range. Avg temps should be in the low 40s. In the 60s all this week. Last weekend in the 60s and 71 on the 15th. Hardly any snow here and not nearly enough in the mountains. Red flag fire warning tomorrow.  Would happily trade for all the East coast snow.

School cancelled again today even though the roads are fine. I guess the buses still have trouble with ice and the huge snow banks. Wife and son finally fly back from London today. I would not mind an extra day of delay hahahahaha!

    Yeah, fuck snow, fuck winter/

Power has been out since 7AM Monday. Finally bugged out to my sister in law's house last night. Not sure our official total, next town over clocked in at 32", have to look up what my town reported now that I am back online. Some towns had over 3 feet, TF Green airport in Providence RI reported 37.9" officially. Unconfirmed report of 41" in New Bedford MA. And this was heavy wet snow, not the light fluffy stuff that builds up quickly.

Top picture above is back yard, neighbor's tree had branch snap off and fall into our yard, and another one fall into theirs.
2nd & 3rd are trees on my front lawn, a few branches snapped off, one entangled in wires, I think phone or cable lines, not power.
Last one is the driveway/cars, and storm lasted several more hours after that pic taken.
Massive drifts. Insane number of trees down throughout town.

    This weekend we rock Portland

It is rare that I applaud my condo fees. $700 a month. Normally they cut the grass, clear the leaves in the fall and do not much else. I had to clear my decks on my own. But this week our our driveway and walkways were clear 24 hrs after the storm. And our indoor parking is a godsend when these weather events happen. It happens every few years. If you cannot handle it move next to Speedy in Florida.

A beautiful day here in London
My family is finally at Heathrow getting out of London. They did enjoy their stay, including three extra days, having dinner at St. John, lunch at the Hereford Arms, a good chippy (chippie), and tea at the Savoy.
EDIT: My son also bought a Barbour Jacket, which cost me a fortune and I am not looking forward to keeping the wax fresh.

I just looked up what in the hell a Barbour jacket is.

$700 for a jacket?  I guess if I had the money to throw at it.  I'm guessing most people won't know what it is and how much it costs.

I’m a 4 seasons fan I don’t mind the cold or snow or rain in the winter or fall I look forward to spring and love a hot summer, I love going to the beach or a lake or kayaking on a river! So this winter has been a return to what a northeast winter should be snowing and cold

I take consolation that it is not Gucci or Louis Vuitton. That would have cost me much more. And he may wear it for 20 years. My son is smart about expensive purchases. He does have some style and is attending a state school so I give him some space. He knows it will be ten years before I buy him anything like that. I guess a good suit and a tuxedo is probably on the horizon.
