I'm so glad Metallica will be playing the Sphere because I have exactly zero interest so I won't spend the money.
Is it because you're not a fan of the band?

The visuals alone will make for an unforgettable experience. I'd watch someone peel an orange at The Sphere. Metallica's visuals will be next-level, I'm sure.
I used to enjoy their music back in the early 90s. Then I saw them live and disappointment doesn't begin to describe it.

No Repeat Weekend, but you already know what the next song will be.

I'd rather have Pearl Jam and their similar setlists that vary each night vs Metallica. Yeah, with Pearl Jam you know you're gonna get Even Flow about 30 minutes in, a bunch of Dark Matter songs around that time, Rearviewmirror and/or Porch before the break and Alive, a cover song and Indifference or YLed to close it off...but other than that, you don't really know.

As far as Pearl Jam goes, wake me up in October. Could we get an announcement by then? Yeah, but I bet we don't.

I'd love to see a small "Rock the Vote" tour in fall with, obviously, the new drummer. No new songs,  but at least it'd be something.

THEN...in November, maybe they get to work on a new album.

In all honesty? I'd be very surprised if we get anything before December.

As for me? Less than 200 days until I see OAR for the 11th time. I think it was show 7 when Marc mentioned how they were influenced by Pearl Jam in their early years...now to actually GET them to play Pearl Jam... I just have to remember to say so the next time I run into Marc.

I think Metallica will be great there. I’ve seen them 5 or 6 times and it was always great but I’ve just lost interest in them over time. If they were going to play Master top to bottom one night I’d probably be tempted.
This show, another show, a show here and a show there.

I cannot fucking wait for Metallica at The Sphere.

I saw Dead & Co. there on my birthday 2 years ago. It was spectacular.

Metallica is one of my Mount Rushmore bands. I will be at at least one of the weekends.

I saw them live for the first time on my 40th birthday, which was also my first birthday without my mom, who had passed away the year before. That birthday was the day that the second chapter of my life began in earnest. The show was incredible, and was just what I needed. I still listen to it any time I need to channel that energy, any time I need a spark.
I'm pumped about the Metallica Sphere shows. Trying to figure out the best weekend to make the trip. Big question is whether to go for pit/ga or reserved. I usually go for the pit but I'm thinking seated may be the way to go to get the full audio visual effect.

I still see them as a legacy band, one of the last remaining rock giants. If I was over in the states I would be there in a heartbeat

Never been a Metallica fan.  Not even on my bucket list.  That said, from some of these posts it sounds like some people think that’s a mistake.  What am I missing?

I was GA for U2 and it was amazing but anywhere in the sphere is better than any seat at any venue in this country! By far the best sound quality and visuals are on another level! I’d love to go back for a show I’m hoping Tool plays there I’m not enough of a Metallica fan to try for tickets, good luck and enjoy if you do go

Most overrated band of all time. His vocals are the worst. But hey, to those that enjoy Metallica, have fun in your $500 seats. Vegas is the armpit of America.
lol it might be armpit but the quality of sound and visual cannot be matched heck PJ plays Camden NJ which is a total dump all around it now that’s a place I won’t ever go back to I was there in 06

Yes, the neighborhood is not pleasant.  But a Camden show should never be missed. Seen every show there since 98. I will pass on MSG to go to Camden. White house subs in the parking lot! I have the same affinity for Hartford.
Edit: Which you and I enjoyed one of Pearl Jam's best shows in Hartford. With the box office debacle.

I mean, it's "The Official 2026 Tour Rumor Thread," it doesn't specify whose tour.

And as I posted elsewhere, Billy Strings has teased a couple stops in SoCal right around Ohana.

Bryan adams just announced a show in lisbon, another one for this year.
