    Beef stroganoff
One of my all time favorite dishes.
I love beef stroganoff. My girlfriend doesn't eat beef though. So I decided to try this recipe. It scratched the itch well enough. She had also never had stroganoff before, and she was excited to try it. She loved it.

Tomorrow I’m going to turn this to ground hot sausage for pizza on Wednesday
Those deep dish pies you made last week looked absolutely incredible.
Thank you! I was really pleased with that how that recipe turned out. I found it in a pizza making forum and it was my first time trying that one!. This week I am going to stick with Chicago style, but I'm making tavern pizzas.

Tonight I made mushroom stroganoff. Got the recipe from New York Times Cooking.

I've got an awesome olive recipe for you to try.

Green olives in a pan with olive oil, garlic, rosemary and lemon zest.

You put it all in a pan.  warm it up and serve.

Big hit at the parties when I break these out.

Just had a conversation with a coworker about duck. He likes to hunt geese and I asked if there was a big difference between duck and geese and he believes there is. Duck seems to be pretty available at grocery stores, but I guess there are so many different species of duck compared to geese. Do you have any insight on this lol?

All game birds have a different taste. I have had goose a few times, but I found it tough. I love duck, especially peking duck when done right, or a dish called kamo nanban (duck over soba and soup) but quail is probably my favorite. When Felidia was open in NYC they made a killer quail dish.

Like deer, wouldn't the taste depend on where and what it eats?

Yes but when you order them at a restaurant or buy them in a store they are farmed. We get duck breasts several times a year and the taste is consistent. Corporate animal husbandry ya know! I understanding even certain private and public hunting locations use farmed birds these days in the same way a river is stocked with trout.

Tonight I before band practice, I got a fried chicken sandwich from The Tin Hat in Seattle. One of my favorite neighborhood bars. Love the food here.
