And what about Greenland?Spartanacus said:Boo hoo hoo, cry me a river. Y'all would have preferred our nation to be run by a moron and her tax swindling con man Tampon Tim. Trump is doing his best to clean up this country, and if he needs to ruffle some feathers in third world corrupt narco terrorist countries like Venezuela, Columbia, Cuba, and Mexico, I'm all for it. Mexico will be the fun one. Everyone knows the cartels run it. It really would be best for the US and Mexican people if the US not only took out the criminals in Mexico, but took it outright.Dovereign nation overseen by denmark with local control , that has had and still has us military presence and they invited more as a member state of NATO....._____________________________________SIGNATURE________________________________________________

The thing is USA are allowed as many troops and as much space as they ask for on Greenland and still that's not enough for the orange man. He wants ownership o places and territory like the very people he claims to despise. A complete narcissist and maniac

Interesting to see there are people in this thread who put the US (and Trump) and it's imperialism over international law.
Speaking of what a country and the laughable concept of "patriotism" can do to you."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

Trump hates NATO. I wonder if he wants control of Greenland so then he can get out of NATO. Not sure if NATO is what allows the U.S. access to Greenland now.0

It is NATO that allows it. And it allows USA to do what they want anyway. It's about ownership. Insanity

Point is, I think adding such a function would clean up a lot of slop that we read/search/scroll through on these forums. I read his comment and I liked it. I wanted to let him know I liked it. I did not need to elaborate further on his comment. But, these forums being as they are, to do so, I had to add a post. It would be a cleaner look for all of us if I simply could have a reaction button and clicked 👍 or 🤣. My reaction to his post was not intended to trigger anyone by suggesting a potential improvement to an antiquated message board system.
Capiche?I get it. Where this originated, they went after an actual righty who dared to appear here with a cute little put down and you want that thumbs up there. I get that conservative comment wasn’t exactly high brow, but it’s not like anyone is looking balanced or reasonable debate here, whether we are discussing far left politics or a fair way to sell or buy tickets.
Or maybe it is as simple as some people like to have a higher number of posts in their profile and adding a reaction function would reduce the need for some posts. I don't know.
As with my thoughts on the lengthy post from Brian this morning - I would have been happy to "like" it to acknowledge I enjoyed the post. Instead, to show my appreciation, I had to quote it and now it's more scrolling for everyone.

Rubio was assigned to put out the fire by saying we would purchase Greenland. Nothing will happen except maybe expanding our already existing base there and trump will claim victory.
But Stephen Miller is dead serious about it, and from what I can tell, Miller has a massive influence over what Trump decides to do. I sometimes get annoyed by Ezra Klein, but he had on Jonathan Blitzer who gives some good background and really focuses on how Rubio plays a key role in pushing some of these agenda items, as well as Miller.

Yeah, I don't agree with your analysis. Miller is a true fascist and imperialist and really wants these things, and so far, what he's been doing is working pretty well. He has convinced Trump to do lots of shit that is insane. He's not about to stop now. Will Trump actually move to annex Greenland? Maybe. He will definitely be weighing the pros and cons... but it's pretty likely that he's going to decide that NATO nations aren't going to risk too much for Greenland, and he very well might be right. I mean, look at what he risked already, considering China's stance with Venezuela.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful.
