I agree - I honestly don't believe it's relevant. People seem to be saying it, ultimately, as a way to somehow excuse what America is doing on some level, which is crazy. That, or people are worried on a personal level that others will think they are Maduro supporters, lol, which is also crazy.Post edited by PJ_Soul onWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. I do not support what Trump did here without congressional approval, but Venezuela is not without blame. Venezuela stole upwards of two hundred billion dollars from the international community, about a quarter of that from America and American companies, ignored “international courts” and used that money to fund an illegal drug and murder operation into the states.0 -

And since when are the assests of oil companies the domain of the US government? Oh wait - hahahaha.I wish Canada would nationalize all of its natural resources too, just like Norway nationalized their oil, to their own citizens' great benefit. Valling the nationalization of resources stealing is simply greedy rich fat cats claiming that nationalized resources are theirs, for their own profit, rather than for the benefit of the people. Now I'm not saying Venezuela used it to benefit its people of course, but that is beside the point.I can't believe there are actually people buying that particular accusation, when he literally told us all that the US government is now going to steal Venezuela's oil. It's absolutely ludicrous!

Seeing who condemned it leaves me conflicted.HughFreakingDillon said:World leaders have issued varying reactions after US forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro with his wife on Saturday.
Here’s a round-up of what we’ve seen so far:
- British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said he would continue talking to US counterparts about a transition to democracy. “We regarded Maduro as an illegitimate President and we shed no tears about the end of his regime,” he wrote on X.
- French President Emmanuel Macron said Maduro had “gravely undermined the dignity of his own people.” Macron added that France wishes for a transition to democracy to be overseen by Edmundo González Urrutia, the former candidate in the disputed 2024 presidential election.
- EU Commission President Ursula von der Leyen said she was following the situation “very closely.” She added that “any solution must respect international law and the UN Charter.”
- Brazilian President Luiz Inácio Lula da Silva called the US strike on Venezuela a “serious affront” to the country’s sovereignty. The attack crossed an “unacceptable line,” he said.
- Cuban President Miguel Díaz-Canel slammed what he called a “criminal” attack by the US on Venezuela in a post on X.
- Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum shared a statement that said her government “strongly condemns and rejects” the attack.
- Argentine President Javier Milei, an ally of US President Donald Trump, appeared to welcome the capture of Venezuela’s leader with a terse message on X: “Freedom advances! Long live freedom, damn it!”
- China’s Foreign Ministry spokesperson said that China was “deeply shocked by and strongly condemns the U.S.’s blatant use of force against a sovereign state.”
countries should respond with kidnapping and removing trump.Regarding the bolded, 100%, bud.Once again, Orange Man defies the foundations of democracy by acting on his own, completely going against the constitution. There is no defense for this shit. I don't see how anyone can condone this kind of action and say they believe in democracy or are against fascism. This is a no brainer. But then maybe some here don't believe in democracy and are OK with fascism. I hope not.

My fear is that Putin/trump had a deal. Putin won't meddle in us taking more control over Venezuela and trump will back down even further on Ukraine.
I hope I'm wrong.
I don't necessarily think getting rid of Maduro is a bad thing but trump's talk doesn't match Rubio's.
And are we taxpayers going to be footing the bill for the oil infrastructure? Of course trump says that the oil companies will pay but something tells me it will be all of us.Remember the Thomas Nine !! (10/02/2018)
