Also, I don’t think anyone could easily carry that many records in one hand, especially that guy.0

Something like that. You know what I mean!0

Reminds me of what Legs McNeil once said about the 70s (with great sarcasm in his voice): "The seventies were so browwwwwwwwwn." "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0 "It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

            Thread integrity:
 Tom Waits
 Nighthawks at the Diner
Never heard it. I'm into his twisted songs but got sucked in by the LE release and felt like it would be a good way to hear it.
 End of confession0

Nighthawks is one of my favourites by Tom, possibly second after Small Change. Just love the loose feeling of that album (tough to describe to someone if they’ve not heard it).0

Yes. Scary, solemn, super descriptive storytelling, cookie monsterish,, beautiful, takes your mind right to that raw scene he is singing about.
An old poster here, dk, turned me on to a blood money RAK after I picked up the one with big in japan and the BBB cds secondhand.
Took a while to grow on me, then truly gripped my soul.
 All downhill from there.
Fortunately I have a good friend that understands too.
Most i play him for run for cover!
 Love to you all0

PS i always found it appropriate after a pj concert they would play a depressing TW song while I was scanning the floor for guitar picks and the crowd was shuffling out. Maybe that sublimaly got me too.
I think they did that at a couple shows.
Anyway. Happy Halloween and spin something especially spooky!0
