Am I the only Dead Head around here?

This show was 48 track masters.  You can hear every single note from every member, clear as day.  I'm pretty sure Phil Lesh has a track for every string on his bass.
I dabble.  I do enjoy the few Pigpen years more than anything and a good 20 minute jam of Lovelight.

This album looks interesting, they remastered it?

I missed out on Enjoying the ride.  It ws sold out when I went to visit their site.

Yes it was mastered for vinyl specifically and the lacquer was cut by Bellman, so very well done.  Great show and one with Bruce Hornsby on the grand piano, so there are a lot of piano solos where normally JG would be playing.  Gives the show a unique sound compared to late era, post Brent shows.

I also really like the Pigpen years, but then again I like all of the years.  Each era of their existence sounds so different.

I have the whole Enjoying the Ride set.  Ping me if you want a link.

I've loved Jim Bob since Carter USM's 101 Damnations a lifetime ago.

I've always LOVED Hot Fuss. But, for whatever reason, never went to see the killers until (I think) 2023. Just happened upon ticket sales for a much smaller Hard Rock venue in NW Indiana. GA show and they were fuggin awesome!

Haha....I'm no fine collector. I was in Seattle last week and stopped in Easy Street Records for the first time. Haven't come across this record locally, so when I saw it, I bought it. $50, so to me that's real deal. My collection is probably only around 55, with 12 being PJ. But it's slowly growing.

I own a boot of it too.  It's not a bad recording and it's not a great recording but you get to put the needle down and enjoy the record.

    Have fun expanding the collection!

Got this, hoping that it would be revelatory, even though it's a punk rock record. Nope. I compared it to to what I believe is an early 80s UK pressing, and I like that one better. This Rhino pressing has more bass presence, and the highs are deadened. It's not a bad pressing, but I wouldn't buy it if you already have one.
1991- Hollywood Palladium, California with Temple of the Dog, Soundgarden, and Alice in Chains -RIP Magazine Show Oct. 6th
    1992- Lollapalooza, Irvine, California
    Nothing since then. I suck.
2016- Fenway Park, Boston - Both glorious nights
    2022- Oakland Night 2
    2024 Sacramento, CA
  • Found an OG press of Vs. at a thrift shop today for 10$

This happened to me once when I found an OG sealed copy of Vitalogy for like $6 (I think). The best feeling. Congrats!

I think they are one of the best live shows out there. My one complaint is that they don't mix up their shows, so there would be no point in seeing more than one show per tour really, not for me anyway. But I've seen them 4 times over the years, and they have never disappointed, and their crowds are always very into it, which makes the shows even better.

I keep looking but the closest thing to NW IN this year has been a casino outside Niagra Falls.
