    What a cool find!
    This is no joke.  I've been a big Malcolm Bhoyd fan for a long time and had no idea he had done recordings like this.  Boyd, also know as The Gay Priest and the Expresso [sic] Priest, was an Episcopal Priest, gay rights activist, Freedom Rider in 1961, anti Viet Nam war activist, poet and writer.  He walked the walk, stood firm in his conviction, and spread light where there was (and is) so much dark.  He was really cool about responding to personal letters and I grateful to have one that he sent me.
    In these recordings, Boyd recites his beat-poet influenced reflections on Jesus and social concerns, accompanied by some very cool and fine acoustic jazz guitar playing by one bossa nova's finest players, Charlie Byrd.

    Question for you vinyl heads;

    So over the last couple years, I've been slowly building up a smaller record collection. Seriously, not many. 50 maybe. Figured I'd get to 100-150 and be good.

    The record player I have is a shitty cheap Victrola. It does not sync to Bluetooth and I currently do not own any good speakers. I'd like to get a better record player that I could preferably sync to a soundbar or something. I don't need something super fancy as I know it won't be used a ton.

    So...any record player recommendations?

    Thanks, I'll head over there. Guess I figured that'd be people talking about equipment that way more than I am looking for.

    My nephew got this one - he’s happy with it, and wanted one to synch to Bluetooth. I’ve not personally heard it, but meets his teenage needs.

    my audio technica turntable is good, but after about 2 years, the bluetooth stopped connecting. so had to plug it in. one thing that annoyed me that I hadn't thought about before buying is it has only 7" and 12" setting for the arm, so any 10" records I have to drop manually. I don't know if it's common for a turntable to have all 3 settings or not, but I thought 10" records were common enough for it.

    Thanks guys. I'm assuming the main reason more people aren't focused on BT is because they are seeking the more esthetic feel of having hard wired speakers? I mean, Sonos have to sound good enough, right?

    I guess I don't see the point of spending money for high fidelity vinyl and then playing through all-in-one systems that are low quality.  The more things packed into a TT structure, the more interference and lower quality of the parts.  It's not aesthetic feel of speakers, it's because speakers with a proper integrated amp are vastly superior to all-in-one or even wireless.
