I played the shit out of Nervous Night. I’m sure you know Bob Geldof said “who the fuck are the Hooters?” when they were included in Live Aid.pjhawks said:
yes the same. They are from Philly and play in Europe each summer/fall and always end up with 2 shows in Philly suburbs late fall. They've done the two shows late fall in Philly for the last 10 years. This was their 45th year as a band. Possibly their last as they are getting up there. Basically this station, WMMR, broke them in the 80's and they were always big around here.Wobbie said:

Yes I know that story well and they were on mmr a few months ago and said that they played a show in Germany in the 2000s and the Boomtown Rats were one of the openers and Geldof refused to talk to them. They played my high school right as that album came out. Lots of cool pop rock songs: And We Danced, Day by Day, Blood from a Stone. Still enjoy them. If you ever get a chance check out their original independent release Amore. That’s really good and has original version of All You Zombies. That was the song that got them on radio and got them a record contract.Wobbie said:

Absolutely. It was better to listen to him on the radio than watch them on TV.pjhawks said:

Normally celebrity/famous people's deaths don't get to me too much, but this one did. I got very emotional last night. Never met Pierre, saw him a few times at some concerts though. I guess just listening to him for the past 30 years or so felt like he was a part of me. 8/28/98- Camden, NJ 8/28/98- Camden, NJ

The Pierre news is horrible. Such a staple in my almost 20 years here.0

Listening to Preston and Steve the last two days has been both cathartic but heartbreaking as well. Crazy how many rock stars have chimed in on Pierre's death. Tough few days in Philly.0
