    non-imax 3D version watched

Visuals + sound + music in combination are good for something. But this kind of attraction was clearly overshadowed by uninteresting human characters, expendable AI tech and lack of story power very early on. I was only hooked by audio-visual moments and drifted through after circa 30 minutes. Mostly lifeless, overall movie fast food, forgotten minutes after leaving the cinema.

moderate interesting everyday life on a remote island, WW2 era. Main character is a young boy. Directed by Fatih Akin (The Golden Glove).

Haven’t seen this since the theater. My son started watching, so I sat down to watch. Can’t say no to Sigourney.

Love that Fishburne is going by Larry at this stage in his career. When I saw this in the theater I was heartbroken with Freddy’s little trick at the end.
