I liked Batman Begins. And the first part of TDK. The rest... from the prisoner-boat dilemma in TDK and forward is pretty trash.
That particular plot was a lil weak, I agree… though Debo/Zeus ( rip prisoner who threw away the detonator) was cool… spoiler alert 🤣 Batman/Joker in the abandoned building and Harvey/Gordon family scene in the very end was great imo… him taking the heat for Harvey was pretty heavy stuff for a comic book movie… Love how Nolan kept everything as grounded as possible. Still the best comic book movie imo

I love TDK, but the last 15 minutes feel a little long (Harvey stuff).

Initial viewing felt quite scary in the theater. Maybe I was viewing it through a filter of the current state of the world/America back then. Ledger is fantastic, and the opening heist scene is great (thank you Heat, says Mr. Nolan).

Michael Mann was cited during the press as an inspiration, so homage … I remember Nolan released the opening scene as a whole before it came out.. unheard of . Same with TDKR .. that plane scene imo was even better… that’s a James Bond homage

I saw TDK  at this place on long island that’s no longer there… Charles Lindbergh cradle of aviation …the seats were like a spaceship where you were looking up at the dome ceiling… had panels that the film projected on … with this being I believe the 1st
major motion picture using IMAX cameras.. the effect you felt in your stomach… I saw it 3 times there as it was like riding a roller coaster… just like everything good in this world… they knocked it down 😡

    it was fuckin wild

I would put at least these as better than the overlong and constipated DTK (even with that beginning being RAD in the cinema):

    Iron Man
    Spider-Man 2
    The first X-Men
    Batman
    Batman Returns
    Batman '66-film
    Batman Begins

Well, I do have Die Hard 2 ranked fourth in the franchise behind Die Hard, With a Vengeance, and Live Free. A Good Day to Die is dead last.

But, I do love The Long Goodbye and Cliffhanger! And of course Deep Blue Sea!

I think I prefer Die Hard 2 over the other sequels. I don't have a problem with it retelling the first film form-wise but on a new location and with a slightly bigger scope. Early 90s Robert Patrick with the T-1000 look is always nice too.

I think Die Hard 3 is a great action film. But it lacks Die Hard-vibes. First and foremost, it should have been set in a WINTER CHRISTMAS New York.

Removing the Die Hard-title, I remember enjoying the fifth one in the cinema. It had a very "old school" meat-and-potatoes vibe to it. Even though that journeyman-Fox director John Moore or whatever his name is, made it.

The fourth one feels generic, modern in the wrong way and PG13. But as an action film it's not bad. I think Kate Beckinsales ex is a decent director. I even enjoy his Total Recall remake (should have been an original story though).

14X minutes felt like 100! Cabrini and her mission are worth every minute. The great bonus - if not the main attraction - is on the poster: the old NY - indoor and outdoor - was pure eye candy. Glad I saw it in a cinema.

(bit of eye candy / art - seen in Cabrini, www find)

Finally saw this. I actually liked it quite a bit, but maybe not everyone’s cup of tea. The cinematography was great, and Cage was well cast.
