I did like it. Much better than the remake. Fun to see Robert Shaw in something besides Jaws. And Hector Elizondo as a bad guy and not the nice supporting character in movies like Pretty Woman!23scidoo said:
Very much a template for later suspense/action thrillers. That final freeze frame was funny though.Love that poster for Sinners! Looks like the old pulp novel covers ( i.e. Hard Case Crime novels). Very cool!0 -
Don't drag the 1-2-4 remake. It's peak Tony Scott (just started re-watching Unstoppable which is great). BUT, using John Travolta in that post Pulp Fiction career he had was a mistake in 9 our of 10 cases. This being one of them IMO. From what I remember. But it's still a stylish energetic late-era-Scott action film."Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0

It’s fine. I like Man on Fire much better, and I think I enjoy Unstoppable much more.Spiritual_Chaos said:Don't drag the 1-2-4 remake. Need to rewatch Crimson Tide soon, and I might watch True Romance this afternoon (I haven’t seen it! Shh, don’t tell anyone.)
I am gearing up for next weekend’s 4K viewing of Hard Boiled at my downtown movie house. The film’s producer will be in attendance for a Q & A, so it should be fun. Taking my son, as he has not seen any classic John Woo or Chow Yun Fat films yet.0 -

            Robert Redford has died.
I will watch QUIZ SHOW (Haven't seen). What will you watch to honor him?"Mostly I think that people react sensitively because they know you’ve got a point"0 -

I was thinking I would rewatch the Sting. And also The Way We Were - which I have never seen. I will see what I can find on streaming.Spiritual_Chaos said:Robert Redford has died.

So many to choose from, he was in a lot of great movies. Maybe all The President's Men with Dustin Hoffman.Spiritual_Chaos said:Robert Redford has died.
