    he's an idiot for the tariff war, full stop. But I often wonder how many companies are increasing their prices to gouge consumers knowing they can just blame trump for it. 

    as an example, Superstore (Loblaws) used the pandemic as an excuse to hike prices like crazy. Their profits during the pandemic SOARED as a result.

    Tons of price gouging going on. Nike raised all their sneakers that were ALREADY ON THE SITE And blamed tariffs. Most of the stuff that wasn’t released had already been made, sitting in the US favorites or stock rooms and they still raised it 5-10$.

    So Pete Hegseth is now the "Secretary of War". If that doesn't make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up nothing will. It's not just about the semantics obviously. 

    A drop at a time... drip drip drip... the plan is a lot more clever and sinister and coherent than so many seem to think, just because a weirdo clown is presenting it, like some kind of sick joke. When. When will America really wake up to what is happening? I assume too late. Yes, i know there is awareness, but i still don't feel like Americans are REALLY accepting the trajectory yet. I think most are still in the "it could never really happen at the end of the day" zone. Is the US becoming a fascist (and possibly theocratic) nation inevitable? No. But if Americans stay in the general mindset they're in now, it will happen. I've really not seen anything suggesting anything is going to stop it at this point.

    What do you think Americans care about at this point, that politicians can get across? I feel like nothing worthwhile can get through anymore to be honest. Everyone concerned about the issues don't seem willong to support anyone willing to oppose it, really. 
    It kinda seems like a tipping point has been breached, where most or all of what any politicians with reason bring to the table will actually do nothing much. Not woth America's political system. The delusion of safeguards in the US system seem to have been shattered. 
    I guess I'm feeling like a pessimist at the moment, I dunno.
