so what do you guys think trump's "exciting" announcement is going to be today?

will probably put a 3 hole golf course on the white house grounds or something stupid like that.
9 hole course on the pentagon grounds, with a bar and hotdog stand on the 9th hole at the 9/11 memorial.

Here's what we know he will discuss:

    1. How bad things were under Biden
    2. How stupid Biden was
    3. How stupid Kamala was
    4. How stupid Newsom is
    5. How great he is
    6. How great everything is going
    7. How no one is talking about it but everyone is saying it

Sounds like its about moving Space Command from Colorado to Alabama, reversing a Biden decision to move Space Command from Alabama to Colorado.

And of course whatever he pops off the dome too.

Only 46 of the 47 countries that make up Europe require photo ID to vote.
Yeah, but they would ensure everyone got one and at no cost. The whole point of requiring ID is to dissuade people from voting, by pricing them out, or by inconveniencing them out. The whole point is to chase inaction.
I’m sure we could pull some scratch from our never ending supply of war, homelessness, and drug addiction enabling funds to help people obtain an ID. Just need the party to start talking about a solution, instead of making excuses. We are required to show ID for a multitude of reasons, it’s not like this is a new concept. Embrace it and call their bluff if you feel this is solely meant to deter voters.
I would if the people pushing it were acting in good faith.

but also, what do we show IDs for enshrined constitutional rights?
So, if dems were pushing it you’d be okay with it? Assuming you feel they act in good faith.
If I decided I wanted to exercise my right to bear arms, I’d have to show my ID to purchase a gun in most circumstances. If I found myself accused of a crime, my identity would have to be established at some point prior to my right of a trial by jury. If most other democracies figured it out, I’m sure we could too. Excuses aren’t the solution.
which well regulated militia would you be a part of?

according to republicans the bill of rights are god given rights with no stipulations. you want a gun? we want everyone to be able to vote without any bullshit roadblocks.
This in response to me citing examples of a proposed question…gimmeabreak.

I've always been confused about the voter ID argument in the States. I mean, it's required here and it's literally never brought up.

its because they keep trying to make it harder for people that are impoverished to vote. they keep changing the ids, like we now have to get a real id (tm) to be able to fly domestically without a passport. those are like $45. when people on fixed incomes are having to choose between food and a fucking real id, it creates a burden, and those people are not going to get the id, and will be disenfranchised by the government which violates the right to vote. most of the poor people are democrats or vote democratic, so the gop, under the guise of "election security" want to make it harder for democratic voters to vote. their thumb is on the scales. so its illegal and it's bullshit and any form of id should be acceptable.

a state id, non driver license should be free for all people, paid for by the state.

I do agree it's statistically nominal problem. I just mean, we have to pay for our ID's as well.

real id costs no more than a regular id/license. you do have to being in the required set of documents for the tsa check. done once it applies going forward without needing to submit again.

if Missouri is different and they are charging you, its a scam.

Sorry world, but as of today, America is $37.3 TRILLION DOLLARS IN DEBT!

What sense does it make for us to borrow money to give away to others?

We can no longer afford to be the world's piggy bank. It's not fair to our children.

It just shows that you and Trump have no clue what role foreign aid plays, to the benefit of America. Seems you're happy sitting back and watching America crumble on the world stage, as a new world order is created, without the USA. Cool, thumbs up for you I guess!

I do agree it's statistically nominal problem. I just mean, we have to pay for our ID's as well.

It would seem so, but states try to design it to help the Rs. Some states will allow obvious republican IDs like a military card, but prevent likely democratic ones like a college ID.

Plus poorer folks who are likely to vote D are typically hourly employees without a car. That makes it time consuming and expensive to get everything in oreder to obtain the ID. Rs are also know to make it more difficult, by closing DMVs or reducing hours.

As the working class shifts R and dems become more educated voters, these tactics probably do work less.

A bit. But when in doubt, just reduce voting in general.
