    On July 30 this year, President Trump signed an executive order that would suspend the de minimis rule for all U.S. imports, with all products coming into the U.S. being tacked with duties and tariffs according to their country of origin. The Trump administration has defended the move as a way to crack down on criminal activity, such as counterfeit products and fentanyl, from entering the country, as well as helping to lower the trade deficit.

    I support farm subsidies but I do wish the farmers (who seem to vote red around me) would realize that the subsidies they receive aren't much different than other government programs that they vehemently oppose.

    not me. i am just pointing out that farmers get almost as many government and charitable bailouts as banks and failing businesses/industries, yet they still vote for people that will implement policies that could cost them their farms and livelihoods. 

    can't get medicare for all, can't get vital programs funded, but there is always money for a war, for bailing out banks and failing industry, and for bailing out farmers that consistently vote for the shit that gets them into trouble in the first place.

    maybe i would have more sympathy for farmers if they were a little more self aware. voting to own the libs should not get them blue state funded bailouts.
