This would make a big difference. Tighten up the spacing and the preview of the first post doesn’t really add any value especially when it’s an old thread. If it could show the first unread post that would be better but no preview would be best.
So after the issue with just dealing with change these are the issues that remain for me:

    1) I have to zoom to like 80%...wth
    2) I had to remove people signatures...the text was the same size as the posts and took up way more space
    3) The info I want is there....are there new posts, who made last post....but it's so small due to the need to zoom AND the craziness that is the preview text of the thread
    4) That banner.  Whenever I navigate to a new page I am having to instantly scroll down as a picture of PJ takes over my screen. Not safe for work ;)
    5) Do I really need to scroll all the way to the top to find the zoomed small "home" to navigate to a different main forum area?  Use to have the list on the left which was so much easier.

The new format definitely needs a bit of work...maybe they can take our complaints as feedback and make some further improvements.

I miss the notifications on the mobile version too.  I have to click into my profile pic for these, unless i'm missing something?  But predominantly I find it's the expanded spacing that makes it less user-friendly, with the first post preview that really isn't needed.

Oh..and the mising back to top and menu links

Unless I'm missing something there's no way to just jump to the first page of a long thread?

    Edit: *on mobile

This is fine on desktop but not great on mobile which unfortunately is almost exclusively how I access the forum

I’m having a very hard time using the forum on my mobile now. There is simply too much white space separating everything - needs to be compressed down so more info can be seen at once. The interface is nice, but the white space needs to be significantly dialed back.

    Yes, it is garbage.
Man this is a hot mess! I only use the desktop version and this is just about unreadable.

Waaaayy too much white space. I like the grid-based design of most forums. There should be a definite delineation between the topics in the list and posts within a thread and there isn't one now. The text of the posts is too big and the poster's name and profile pic is too small. There is also no way to distinguish the sticky posts vs the regular posts. Moving the navigation pane to the right is awkward. Hopefully they will take our criticism and make some changes.

One thing I like is the ability to dismiss a post.  Especially some of the announcements at the top so they don’t reappear after I’ve read it and dismissed it.

Every time I've seen a message board change their format/layout/style, there have always been a whole bunch of whiners and complainers who can't stand it. After a month or so, they stop complaining. A couple of years later when it changes again, the same people lose their minds that they changed the format of a board that they whined about changing to a few years' prior.
The only people we should try to get even with...
    ...are those who've helped us.

    Yes, it is garbage.
Uh, the only way I've ever accessed the forum is on my phone.
The mobile version is very cumbersome to wade through, but there is one.

** and yes, because its so unhandy to use, for me its garbage.

Definitely hate it on mobile, haven’t looked at it on desktop.  It reminds of me of when it was updated before Backspacer then got slightly rolled back to at least look more like its previous version

Interesting... on my phone which is mobile version it looks excellent because it dropped everybodys signature and show listings.

On my iPad which uses the desktop version it's extremely difficult to see the comments in between the hundreds of shows that everyone attended. Which is always interesting to look at but makes finding where the comments are difficult

I agree with that. The first post preview is useless (especially when it's years old) - it just takes up space.
