Saw 49 Winchester/The Mavericks/Dwight Yoakam last night in Richmond at the new riverfront amphitheatre. It was the 7th time I've seen Dwight and 49 Winchester was really good. Also great to see Raul Malo still performing while battling cancer.0

I saw Social Distortion last night at the Boulder Theater. Nice mix of old and new. Their logo has to be in the Top 5 of greatest band logos.

I saw the Pixies last night in Brooklyn. They are always so good. I was on center rail. There was a huge mosh pit right behind me so I got banged into the rail a few times. Security asked me if I wanted them to carry me over the rail so I could go stand somewhere else. But I kept my spot, and got banged into a bit more. But it was fun.0

Vulpeck at Red Rocks. My cousin is in the band. He plays sax, piano, and takes vocal lead on a couple of songs. It was an amazing fun show. They rarely do gigs and basically never tour, and I live maybe 30 minutes away so I wasn't going to miss this.
The last 3 pics are from backstage. The 4th to last pic that white dot is the moon in the upper right.

I went to my first festival on Saturday - Punk in the Park in Denver. It was much better than I expected and got to see Mercy Music, 7Seconds, Manic Hispanic, The Vandals, Riverboat Gamblers, Screeching Weasel, Pennywise, Teen Mortgage, and The Descendents.
The Descendents sounded great and way better than when I saw them a few years ago. Manic Hispanic was one of the most entertaining acts I've seen and had the biggest mosh pit of the group. Also was cool to see Johs Freese drumming for the Vandals - he is so talented, can't believe he got sacked by Foo Fighters.

Saw Girl In A Coma in Richmond, VA last night. Three piece band from San Antonio. Awesome show, despite being an odd venue (small stage outside of a restaurant). They bring a lot of energy and sounded great. I heard about them in the PJ Wrigley 2016 merch line, but the band broke up shortly afterwards. This is their first tour back, felt lucky to see them live. Definitely worth checking out. Came away with a setlist and they all signed a poster, bonus!

Paul Simon in Vancouver, Friday, July 25th. Row 1!
There was a strict no photography/no filming policy which I chose to respect. The show was great! Paul is showing his age some when moving around but his playing & singing are still fantastic. The new album is really something to see live. Incredible band and stage setup. 3 huge percussion stations. Typically 9 other musicians on stage for most of the night. After the 33 minute 7 Psalms there was an intermission and then he came back and played the hits and a few of his own personal favs. Edie Brickell sang on a couple songs and she was incredibly charming. I’m not sure I’ve ever seen an audience so appreciative of a performer before. Massive applause and cheering all night long. Really felt like we were experiencing something special. We’ll see what the future holds. If this ends up being his last full scale tour I’m sure thankful I got to attend.

Just saw Dinosaur Jr and Snail Mail last night. I have seen Dinosaur Jr a bunch of times but last night was the best I've ever heard them sound. Absolutely incredible! Also got to see J play drums which was a rare treat. If hope can grow from dirt like me, it can be done. - EV0
