These protests are more of the same and could end up blowing up as usual in Democrat‘s faces.I am not saying that I support his immigration policy. But I know in order to have power you need to win elections and in order to do that you need to reach moderate voters. 54% tells us that the moderates are not with us. We need a new strategy, because the old politics from his first term are not working regarding immigration.“ CBS News/YouGov poll conducted June 4–6 found that 54 percent of Americans approve of Trump's deportation policy—higher than his approval ratings on the economy (42 percent) or inflation (39 percent). The poll was completed just days before the president deployed National Guard troops to Los Angeles on June 8, following escalating protests.
I mean you love politics right, like so many on here? You read the articles, you post them here, you spend a lot of time on forums like this one, you love it?
How does it feel to be completely out classed and outsmarted in politics by trump?
When you ignore something that your party does poorly you leave an opening for your opposition. Politics 101.
That's why ignoring what the Democrats did in 2024, is just about the stupidest idea in politics
Have you seen Trump's latest bit on this lately? His little bit about Bidens Auto pen? It's brilliant and it makes you look and most of the Democrats, including on here, look extremely extremely unintelligent
He says that bit that biden spent an entire career and never has he supported such a sloppy and open border. There is no way that Biden could have believed in this. It was his puppeteers around him formulating this policy with the auto pen. Prove trump wrong.
Democrats could deal with this now, or get slammed the next time when Rs start making the attacks in the next presidential election. When it rings true, and you ignored it, you lose
Get your shit together H2M. We're all depending on you.

I suppose I'm a simpleton, but I still can't even really figure out wtf Biden did that was so bad, or why so many Americans think their country was falling apart.... As far as I can tell, the only really serious problem the American people had - before Trump started blowing everything up - was all the rich people hoarding all the money at the expense of everyone else, which is still the case. As far as I can tell, the only really serious problem the American people had - before Trump started blowing everything up - was all the rich people hoarding all the money at the expense of everyone else, which is still the case. Now things are a LOT worse than thatC. and I were talking about that earlier today. I mentioned various presidents in my life time and their various traits, good and bad. C. made the comment that she thought that overall, Biden was the best in our life time (since Eisenhower, only we were too young to think or care about such things in Ike's days). She said that despite having some flaws (like all presidents do) he did a good job, especially getting us past the earlier COVID period. He did things steadily and without a whole lot of fanfare, so he kind of (at least relatively speaking) went less well noticed. He will probably be remembered well by history. And yes, the rich were getting richer under Biden. Of course, it would have been great if Biden could have changed that, but in reality, that pretty much hasn't happened anytime anyway- not that I can think of- in the last several decades. Just some fluctuations. And like you say, now money flow to the super wealthy is ramping up.For most people, things were not all that bad under Biden. More people are going to hurt or even suffer a lot more going forward post-Biden.So now so many of the things that were working are getting blown to shit. I know I swear too much, but the truth is, it's fucking unbelievable. And stupid!"It's a sad and beautiful world"-Roberto Benigni0

Florida sheriff tells protesters ahead of anti-Trump rally: ‘We will kill you’
https://news.yahoo.com/news/florida-sheriff-tells-protesters-ahead-200834099.htmlSheriff Wayne Ivey, a Republican, echoed President Trump’s recent Truth Social post in which he said of Los Angeles protesters, “If they spit, we will hit.”
A Florida sheriff shockingly vowed to “kill” protesters who threaten or commit violence against law enforcement officers ahead of a scheduled rally in opposition to President Donald Trump and his administration on Saturday.
“We’re not going to play,” said Brevard County Sheriff Wayne Ivey during a Thursday news conference just days before the nationwide “No Kings” protests happening Saturday.
On the heels of President Trump sending the U.S. military to Los Angeles, where similar protests have taken place in opposition to his immigration raids and deportations, Ivey issued a stark warning to protesters, who are expected in the thousands across the state of Florida.

i don't think i can think of a time in my lifetime where a democrat official has threatened to kill americans for expressing their first amendment rights. never thought i would say this but i think it is time i buy a gun.

Not sure of the protocol if the bolded above occurs. Probably detain and arrest the person instead of killing them.

I'm not a Constitutional scholar, but is throw(ing) a brick, a firebomb or pointing a gun at (one of our) deputies covered under "expressing their first amendment rights?"

Yes, Trump/Jan 6th. I get it. Point taken and understood.
In this instance, what is the protocol for law enforcement in Florida when faced with people
"throw(ing) a brick, a firebomb or point(ing) a gun at one of our deputies?" Detain and arrest?

As far as I can tell, the only really serious problem the American people had - before Trump started blowing everything up - was all the rich people hoarding all the money at the expense of everyone else, which is still the case. Now things are a LOT worse than thatWith all its sham, drudgery, and broken dreams, it is still a beautiful world. Be careful. Strive to be happy. ~ Desiderata0
