I'm sorry, I don't think the Vice Chair of the DNC should be supporting the primar(ing) of their own party.  Good riddance to him.  The downside was worse than the upside.

I don’t know enough about the primary system to comment, but I think he has a bright future as a vocal progressive in politics.

    The first Politico headline was:

"DNC boots David Hogg and another vice chair from their roles"

That's fine, be a voice or grass roots organizer.  But being in leadership means you don't pick winners and losers, and you don't run candidates against your own field.  That's just bad for the party.

I definitely defer to your expertise on this.

However, don’t you think the party needs a shakeup?

I guess it depends on what you mean by that.  Sure a shakeup might be good, but an executive putting their thumb (or money) on the scale and picking who is supported and who is not, is not appropriate for that position.  The DNC as an organization should allow the people and affiliated groups vie for the message and candidates who represent the party.  It should not be coming from the Vice Chairman.  His job was to support (or be neutral)  all of the candidates and once they are chosen, put the full weight of the party apparatus (including fund raising) behind the candidate that was chosen in the primary.

So the Democrats are to blame for immigration for the 4 years from 2017-2021 when your boy DJT was in office?
    Got it.

A Tale of Two Resolutions: 75 Dems Join GOP in Resolution Praising Trump’s Mass Deportation Regime

These 75 Democrats joined Republicans to "express gratitude" to ICE agents and call for greater local and state collaboration with ICE.

Maybe there is a reason so many Democrats joined with the Rs on this issue? Just maybe? Definitely maybe?

Correct and it was great policy. We should stand up for it. More immigrants. More workers. More people shopping in local communities and paying taxes.

It was a great policy for how to lose an election?

It was a great policy to lose support amongst most every demo,  including those of the same demo as those that come here illegally?

Bidens border policy was a mess, and it likely wasn't even his policy.

My next post will address that perhaps.

What exactly are Democrats protesting on the streets? What we are seeing is directly relating to Democratic policy on immigration over the last 10 years. We had our chance and blew it. Believe it or not right before these protest started. Trump had a solid approval rating on immigration. We had an election, the voters judged Democrats on their record of immigration, and Democrats lost. These protests are more of the same and could end up blowing up as usual in Democrat‘s faces.

I am not saying that I support his immigration policy. But I know in order to have power you need to win elections and in order to do that you need to reach moderate voters. 54% tells us that the moderates are not with us. We need a new strategy, because the old politics from his first term are not working regarding immigration.

“ CBS News/YouGov poll conducted June 4–6 found that 54 percent of Americans approve of Trump's deportation policy—higher than his approval ratings on the economy (42 percent) or inflation (39 percent). The poll was completed just days before the president deployed National Guard troops to Los Angeles on June 8, following escalating protests.
Who was your preferred dem primary candidate prior to Brandon and his deep state foisting Kamala on us and taking your choice away in the biggest political scam of all time?

I mean you love politics right, like so many on here? You read the articles, you post them here, you spend a lot of time on forums like this one, you love it?

How does it feel to be completely out classed and outsmarted in politics by trump?

When you ignore something that your party does poorly you leave an opening for your opposition. Politics 101.

That's why ignoring what the Democrats did in 2024, is just about the stupidest idea in politics

Have you seen Trump's latest bit on this lately? His little bit about Bidens Auto pen? It's brilliant and it makes you look and most of the Democrats, including on here, look extremely extremely unintelligent

He says that bit that biden spent an entire career and never has he supported such a sloppy and open border. There is no way that Biden could have believed in this. It was his puppeteers around him formulating this policy with the auto pen. Prove trump wrong.

Democrats could deal with this now, or get slammed the next time when Rs start making the attacks in the next presidential election. When it rings true, and  you ignored it, you lose

All it illustrates is that the average 'Murikkkan voter is either ignorant, stupid, racist or a combination of all three. We didn't get "outsmarted by COOTWH", rather, more 'Murikkkans were swindled and lied to and believed what they were being sold. Its only 5 months in. Give it another year or two. Good fucking luck to you and the brilliant, brilliancy of brilliance that is COOTWH and the repubs.

I prefer to be on the right side of history and not to stoop to the level of depravity that we're seeing. But you do you.

the amount of times the same poster claims trump is brilliant one week and a complete fucking moron the next is next level insanity.
    Great observation.  Silly season.

I gotta agree here.  Unless Halifax changes his posting style and ignoring the Democrats deficiencies, we will never win another election.

Get your shit together H2M.  We're all depending on you.
Does anyone here realize how difficult it is, how very difficult, to get your shit together when you're living in your mom's basement, eating Cheetos all day and typing with Cheeto dust encrusted fingertips? Anyone? I didn't think so.

Sorry, but you'll have to put your hopes, dreams and faith into someone else. I certainly can't do it from here.
It's all over.  You were the ONE.
