    Yeah, let's be nice to the rioters and they'll quit stealing and robbing. The irony is, many of these small business owners being looted are indeed legal immigrants themselves, who came here to work hard and build a better life. How dare they do it the legal way!

    no one is saying that. Protest peacefully. Arrest those breaking the law. Like so many things discussed in these forums, the minority doesn’t represent the majority. So stop painting things as such. It’s disingenuous and it only makes you and your word look bad.

Believe it or not right before these protest started. Trump had a solid approval rating on immigration. We had an election, the voters judged Democrats on their record of immigration, and Democrats lost. These protests are more of the same and could end up blowing up as usual in Democrat‘s faces.

    I am not saying that I support his immigration policy. But I know in order to have power you need to win elections and in order to do that you need to reach moderate voters. 54% tells us that the moderates are not with us. We need a new strategy, because the old politics from his first term are not working regarding immigration.

    You have to factor in that his approval is higher with people who are less informed. The question to ask is do you approve of an immigration policy that’s been deemed unconstitutional by the Supreme Court?

    yep. the dems are supposed to be the party of ideas, but they keep the young people down. that to me is inexcusable.

    a third, more progressive party is going to get formed and leave the dems in the dust. and the dems will deserve it.

    Yes. He was ousted because he wasn’t happy with the status quo which the DNC was fine with maintaining.. He wanted to promote fighters, new PsOV and fresh blood. 

    Current democratic thought is let Trump sink himself and they’ll come crawling back. Which, sure, is what may happen. But it means nothing will get better for people.

    While I love this idea, a viable third party will never happen. Look how Republicans just bent over for Trumpism. Dems will do the same thing to keep progressives. I mean Joe even gave Bernie a big voice in the party in 2020 and that’s why college loan forgiveness was a big issue for Joe.
